While Taylor Swift’s presence at Kansas City Chiefs games has brought more attention to the NFL, not everyone is on board with the extensive coverage of the pop star. In fact, some players have previously voiced their frustration and disappointment with the league’s intense focus on Swift during broadcasts.

This sentiment isn’t only limited to the players; numerous fans have taken to social media to urge the NFL to dial back the airtime dedicated to Swift during games.

Interestingly, even family members of players are feeling the impact. Kelly Stafford, the wife of Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, admitted as much when she shared she’s “bothered” by how much coverage the NFL has given the music icon.

Kelly Stafford acknowledged that the NFL made a good business decision by taking advantage of Swift’s star power, but she couldn’t help but feel that it’s taking away the focus from the game, which is a concerning development for her.

“You know what, it was a good business decision for the NFL, but I almost felt like it was outshining the games, and I think that’s what bothered me,” Kelly Stafford shared during Thursday’s episode of her “The Morning After” podcast, per FOX News.

It is worth noting that Kelly Stafford also admitted that she has some “jealousy issues” with Taylor Swift, as she tried to explain why she was critical of the relationship between the pop sensation and her Chiefs boyfriend, Travis Kelce, in the past.

According to Matthew Stafford’s significant other, she let “jealousy” get the best of her out of frustration.

“I have never once said that I don’t like Taylor Swift, ever. But I will say I kind of got tired of the Chiefs’ coverage of it, actually, the NFL’s coverage of this budding relationship last year. And can she do anything about that? No, she can’t,” she added.

Kelly Stafford clarified that she’s a Swift fan, which is why they watched her recent New Orleans show and even had their private jet filled with Swift-inspired decorations.

At the end of the day, Kelly Stafford is hoping that the NFL actually starts focusing at football, particularly during Chiefs games, instead of giving more airtime to Swift, who’s simply watching to support her partner.
