After Sunday’s 16-14 win over the Denver Broncos, the Kansas City Chiefs are now 9-0 and making a strong case for an unprecedented Super Bowl three-peat.

The Chiefs, however, have their fair share of haters. In fact, some of them are getting even louder.

This is exactly the case for sports betting expert Cam Stewart, who is facing backlash for his savage take on the Chiefs’ recent run — and an ill-advised joke about Travis Kelce’s girlfriend, Taylor Swift.

Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift celebrate at Allegiant Stadium after the 2024 Super Bowl.

Stewart, a host for streaming network SportsGrid, recently went on a profanity-laced rant that caught the attention of Swift fans. This is far from the first time he has come out with a strong take against the Chiefs, but his swipe at the “Fortnight” singer was something Swifties could not ignore.

“Oh, who cares? Throw her in the [Niagara] Falls,” Stewart said when Swift was brought up during their discussion of the Chiefs.

Stewart’s remark did not sit well with her supporters. In fact, one particular fan called Stewart out for his insensitive jab, considering how three people died at Niagara Falls recently.

Stewart caught wind of the backlash and issued an apology on X.

“Didnt mean it bad joke,” he wrote.

This has done little to appease the anger of the fans, though, with some bombarding Stewart with negative comments even after his apology.

It is unclear whether Swift will be in attendance for the Chiefs’ next game. She will be heading to Canada for the final leg of her “Eras Tour” concert series, which starts on Thursday in Toronto.

The Chiefs are in action on Sunday when they battle Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills at Highmark Stadium.
