Late into the first quarter of Game 2 between the Indiana Fever and the Connecticut Sun, rookie guard Caitlin Clark got into it with a fan just two rows from the court.

After talking to the officials, Clark pointed out the supporter. The referees proceeded to speak to security, who escorted the fan from his seat.

At first, it appeared the fan had been ejected from the game, but, according to Chloe Peterson of IndyStar Sports, that was not the case.

“The fan is back in his seat now after a discussion with arena security,” Peterson wrote on X.

There has been no announcement on what the fan said to Clark, but it must have been pretty ugly for security to get involved so quickly.

Clark is coming off arguably her worst post-Olympic break performance in Game 1 on Sunday. She scored 11 points on 4-of-17 shooting and dished eight assists. Indiana suffered its biggest post-break loss as well, 93-69.

With the Game 1 loss, the Fever find themselves in a must-win situation in Game 2. If they lose, Clark’s first season in the WNBA ends.
