The Kansas City Chiefs remain the only unbeaten team in the NFL after Week 8. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes threw two touchdown passes and for 262 yards to lead his team to a 27-20 win over the division-rival Raiders at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

The Chiefs now have won 13 straight games including the playoffs, and avenged their last loss – which occurred at home against the Raiders. But at the Raiders’ home stadium, the Chiefs are 5-0 and 6-0 if you include the Super Bowl in February.

The Raiders have lost four in a row, even though they hit the 20-point mark for the first time since Sept. 29’s win over the Browns.

Mahomes’ top target was a familiar face in tight end Travis Kelce, who caught 10 balls for 90 yards as he continued to re-install himself into the Chiefs’ offense. The last time the Cincinnati Bearcat caught 10-plus passes was in October of 2023.

Kelce caught his 75th touchdown to pass former Cowboy Jason Witten for fifth all-time on the tight end list. Mahomes became the fastest NFL quarterback ever to reach 30,000 yards, doing so in game No. 103.

Raiders quarterback Gardner Minshew went 24-for-30 for 209 yards and two touchdowns but was also sacked five times.

The Chiefs will head back home to host Tampa Bay on Monday Night Football in Week 9.
