Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce has become one of the most well-known athletes on the planet, which, in part, can be attributed to the fact his girlfriend, Taylor Swift, is arguably the biggest celebrity in the world.

This immense fame comes at a price, though.

Kelce was one of the top tight ends in the NFL before he met Swift, which means his celebrity status was already considerable.

Recently, the NFLPA encouraged the league to make significant changes to its media policy in an effort to protect the privacy of superstars across the league, including Kelce.

According to a report from Radar, the NFL has agreed to ban postgame interviews inside the locker room. However, no official announcement has been made.

“While reporters will still have access to players for interviews, the locker room will no longer be part of the equation,” said the source. “Instead, interviews will now be conducted in separate, designated areas, with each team determining the location.”

Radar’s source went on to note that while the league is saying this new mandate is aimed at safeguarding the security of all the players in the NFL, “everyone knows it is to protect Taylor Swift’s boyfriend.”

For what it’s worth, this is a policy players have been requesting from the league for a considerable time now.

However, the source also pointed out that “no one believes it’s just a coincidence that the new rules are being implemented now” amid Swift and Kelce’s extremely high-profile relationship and how it has affected the league.
