The Indiana Fever are preparing for Game 2 of their first-round series against the Connecticut Sun in the WNBA playoffs following a brutal 93-69 loss in Game 1.

Indiana’s matchup against the Sun will be played on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. ET.

Before the Fever hit the court in the first-round elimination game, Indiana posted an edit of a couple of Fever players that could certainly hype up fans.

“It’s time to even the series,” the Fever posted.

In the Fever’s Game 1 loss to the Sun, a couple of Indiana stars struggled mightily. Star rookie Caitlin Clark finished the game with 11 points, eight assists and four rebounds, shooting 4-of-17 from the field and 2-of-13 from three-point range.

Their leading scorer in the matchup was Kelsey Mitchell, who was able to plug in 21 points, but she also struggled behind the arc, ending the game with a 2-of-10 three-point shooting split.

The pressure will be on the Fever in Game 2 since they’re entering an elimination game in the best-of-three series. In Game 1, most of Indiana’s starters were playing in the first playoff game of their careers.

Aliyah Boston had the most successful showing, recording 17 points and 11 rebounds while shooting 8-of-14 from the field.

Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark (22)If the Fever were to defeat the Sun in the first-round series, they would play the winner of the Phoenix Mercury versus Minnesota Lynx matchup in round two.

Mitchell recently spoke on the Fever’s test in Game 2, simply stating that if Indiana wants to compete for a WNBA title, “You gotta do what you gotta do to win a game.”
