Indiana Fever teammates Caitlin Clark and Lexie Hull are currently enjoying some downtime, with Hull jetting off to Hawaii before she begins preparations for the new Unrivaled series

Caitlin Clark has sent a two-word message to her Indiana Fever teammate Lexie Hull as she gears up for the launch of the Unrivaled series.

Following their team’s early departure from the WNBA Playoffs, Clark and Hull are taking some time off. Hull has been soaking up the sun in Hawaii with her beau, Will Matthiessen, sharing snaps of their getaway on social media.

Hull’s posts, captioned with “Mahalo”, a Hawaiian phrase for gratitude, caught the attention of many, including Clark who commented with “Slay guys”. The term ‘slay’ is popular slang for excelling or impressing.

Hull will soon start training for Unrivaled, the upcoming three-on-three basketball league initiated by WNBA icons Napheesa Collier and Breanna Stewart. The action begins in Miami on January 17, with Hull joining a stellar line-up featuring stars like Collier, Stewart, Angel Reese, Kelsey Plum, Chelsea Gray, Arike Ogunbowale, Jewell Loyd and Brittney Griner.

An ecstatic Hull celebrated her involvement with three party emojis on Instagram, ahead of the final 30-player roster reveal on Thursday, reports the Irish Star.

Caitlin Clark has received a lucrative offer to join Lexie Hull in Unrivaled

The teams will bear names such as Laces Basketball Club, Mist Basketball Club, Phantom Basketball Club, Lunar Owls Basketball Club, Rose Basketball Club and Vinyl Basketball Club. This ‘Basketball Club’ naming draws inspiration from European football clubs, with the aim of fostering similar fan loyalty.

Clark, 22, is reported to have received a hefty offer from Unrivaled, which includes $1million (£770,000), plus equity and revenue sharing. This dwarfs her base salary during her rookie season with the Fever, where she earned $76,535 (£58,950).

However, the lion’s share of her income comes from lucrative endorsements with big names like Swoosh, State Farm, Gatorade, Wilson, Bose and Buick.
