Taylor Swift at age 4 through the lens of photographer Andrew Orth – a close neighbor of the singer’s family in Pennsylvania. Back then, Taylor was a little girl with flowing platinum hair, growing up on a large farm.

At the age of 6, Taylor began to show her talent for singing. She inherited her grandmother’s voice – an opera singer. In addition to her interest in music, she loved to learn horse riding every afternoon after school.

Throughout her elementary school years, Taylor’s passion for music was always burning in her heart. She took vocal classes at school and also traveled to New York to take acting and music classes. At age 10, Taylor was determined to pursue country music and a year later, she won a local singing competition with LeAnn’s “Big Deal.”

At the age of 14, she began learning to play the guitar professionally.

She also met with many music companies to seek opportunities to develop her talent.

The beautiful teenage singer quickly signed a contract with RCA Records. However, at the age of 15, Taylor left RCA Records because she did not want her songs to be played by other artists. The company said they wanted Taylor to be 18 before recording her first album.

Taylor became a freelance singer, performing everywhere from coffee shops to talent shows. Her luck came when Scott Borchetta, president of DreamWorks Records, saw her perform at a coffee shop.

At age 16, she released her debut single “Tim McGraw”. The song, about Taylor’s high school boyfriend, reached number 40 on the Billboard Hot 100 and number 6 on the Billboard country chart.

Her debut album was also released that year with 11 songs. However, it was not until she turned 18 that Taylor became truly famous with love ballads such as “Love story”, “You belong with Me”, “Fearless”…
