Rugby star Jonathan Owens has sparked controversy with a photo of his wife, gymnastics champion Simone Biles, holding the 2024 Paris Olympic gold medal.

Owens’ congratulatory photo of his wife continued to cause controversy. Many criticized him and questioned why he was wearing his wife’s gold medal as if it were his own. One fan wrote: ‘You’re holding Simone’s gold medal, not yours.’ Another commented: ‘Why are you holding it as if you won it?’ Some called for Owens to return the medal to Biles.

However, some people had a different opinion when congratulating the American gymnastics star and were touched by her husband flying to Paris to support his wife, even though he is preparing for the new season with the Chicago Bears.
