Princess Charlotte inherits unique legendary jewelry from Princess Diana
Princess Charlotte, the only daughter of Prince William and Princess Kate, is expected to inherit one of Princess Diana’s most precious jewels. This special gift, which no one else in the world has, marks the connection between generations in the British Royal Family.
At just nine years old, Princess Charlotte is already one of the most beloved members of the British Royal Family. She regularly makes headlines for her adorable fashion sense, sweet demeanor, and the way she manages her two older brothers, Prince George (11) and Prince Louis (6). Behind her appearance, which looks like millions of other girls around the world, Princess Charlotte will inherit a unique heirloom.
According to The Mirror, palace sources said that Charlotte will be the first to choose jewelry from the late Princess Diana’s collection, as the eldest granddaughter. Prince Harry’s daughter, Princess Lilibet, will also be able to choose some of Princess Diana’s pieces. However, the most notable item is the Spencer Tiara, which is currently in the care of Princess Diana’s younger brother, Earl Charles Spencer.
A royal source told GoodToKnow: “Prince William is very close to his uncle and has asked if the Spencer tiara could be passed on to Charlotte one day. William knows the Earl has daughters, but they have both agreed that Diana’s iconic piece belongs to her first granddaughter.”
The Spencer tiara was worn by Princess Diana at her wedding to King Charles in 1981. This heirloom was designed by Garrard in the 1930s, incorporating other Spencer family jewels.

Although Charlotte is still young, she is said to have known about the special gift. A source told NewIdea that Charlotte is “very excited” about the tiara, seeing it as a memento that connects her to her late grandmother. Princess Diana died in 1997, before Prince William met Princess Kate and had children.
Princess Kate (43 years old) currently owns Princess Diana’s engagement ring from King Charles, and she often wears it at public events. When he got engaged, Prince William shared that he wanted to use this ring to remember Princess Diana, who was no longer present to share the joy with him. Prince William said: “It was my mother’s engagement ring. I think it’s wonderful because obviously she’s no longer here to share the joy and excitement, so this is my way of keeping her close to everyone.”
