As per a report, veteran actor Jean-Claude Van Damme had once approached the Fast & Furious franchise for a role. Although the producers had no problem with it, Van Damme alleged that it was Vin Diesel who refused the actor to join his franchise!

Known for movies like Bloodsport, Lionheart, and, The Expendables 2, Jean-Claude Van Damme is considered a veteran actor the likes of Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger. Finding fame and success, Van Damme approached the Fast & Furious franchise for a role.
In an interview with The Telegraph, Jean-Claude Van Damme revealed that the iconic franchise wanted him for a role but Vin Diesel denied the casting for reasons unknown. Rumors suggest that Diesel wanted all the spotlight on himself but nothing can be confirmed or denied.
“They want me in Fast and Furious. But Vin Diesel said, ‘No, I don’t want him.’”
Well, it seems that Vin Diesel has plans for the franchise involving other actors since rumors of Hollywood hotshot Tom Cruise, joining the franchise are circulating on the internet. As for the Riddick actor, he hasn’t accepted or denied the rumors!

Back at the Grand Prix in Miami this year, the Top Gun: Maverick actor was seen hanging out with Vin Diesel and Ludacris. In a later interview (via Extra), Diesel sparked the rumors that Tom Cruise could potentially appear in the franchise!
“Terri, come on. This is too hot. It’s too hot for the press. It’s sizzling, I tell you.
In another interview by Access Hollywood, Diesel’s co-star Charlize Theron talked about how Cruise should indeed join the franchise and that he cannot say no to the fans!
“It should happen. I mean, why not? I mean, was there an invite sent? Like, I mean, send him an invite. [Interviewer: I mean, the fans are sending an invite.] Well then, he can’t say no. And it’s done. Let’s go!”
Although it isn’t clear whether Tom Cruise will be joining the franchise or not as fans can only hope for a positive outcome. The Fast family is currently busy working on Fast 11 which is set for a release date of 4th April 2025 in the U.S.
