Fast & Furious franchise mainstays Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson and Ludacris were among the stars in attendance on Thursday at L.A. Live in Los Angeles at a party commemorating Friday’s release of the first trailer for the upcoming Fast X.
Diesel was clad in a black sleeveless top that read ‘For Paul,’ in honor of his late friend and Fast costar Paul Walker, who died in a 2013 car crash.
Diesel, who plays the role of Dominic Toretto in the cinematic series, rounded out his ensemble with white jeans with horizontal zippers and black boots, with shaded sunglasses.
Rodriguez, who plays Letty Ortiz in the film franchise, beamed as she posed in a sheer navy blue button-up top with white pants and pointy toe black heels. She wore her dark way locks down on the winter evening.
Also snapped at the event were Gibson, who plays Roman; Sung Kang, who plays Han; and Ludacris in the role of Tej. The film’s director Director Louis Leterrier posed with the ensemble of actors at the event.
The launch event also included displays of vehicles seen in the action film series and immersive photo opportunities, Universal said in a news release.
At the event, the studio said, ‘The stars will reveal behind-the-scenes stories of the franchise’s most iconic moments, unveil remastered legacy versions of the Fast Saga’s most unforgettable trailers, announce Fast X’s top-secret new cast members (with a surprise guest), and then, for the first time, debut an exclusive look at the Fast X trailer.’
The event, which was hosted by Maria Menounos, was ahead of the debut of the trailer for the movie Friday at 8 a.m. PST.

A promotional poster for the upcoming sequel was released late last month, which showed Toretto praying hard.
The street racer portrayed by Diesel in the Fast & Furious franchise was shown in the poster with his eyes closed and eyebrows furrowed while clutching the silver crucifix that he gave to his wife Letty.
The tagline for the poster read, ‘The End Of The Road Begins’.
Vin shared the poster on Instagram for his roughly 87.7 million followers.

The Fast X trailer debuts worldwide on February 10th, 8a.m pacific!,’ he wrote as a caption.
Fast X is scheduled to be released in theaters on May 19.
The film is being directed by Transporter director Louis Leterrier, 49, who replaced Justin Lin, 51, after the F&F franchise veteran dropped out a week after filming began due to creative differences.
Justin remained a producer and also co-wrote the screenplay for Fast X.

Vin also is a producer of the sequel in addition to starring in it.
Fast X will feature an ensemble cast that includes previous stars from the franchise, including: Gibson, Jordana Brewster Ludacris, Nathalie Emmanuel, Kang and Scott Eastwood.
The tenth installment also will feature newcomers Jason Momoa, Brie Larson, Daniela Melchior, Alan Ritchson and Rita Moreno.
Fast X is the first part of the franchise’s two-part finale.
The franchise started with the 2001 film The Fast And The Furious that starred Vin as Dom and the late Paul Walker as Brian O’Conner.
Paul died in November 2013 at age 40 from injuries sustained in a single-vehicle collision while riding as a passenger in a speeding car.
He had not yet completed filming of the 2015 film Furious 7 at the time of his death and his brothers Cody and Caleb were used as stand-ins to complete the rewritten film.
