New Orleans Saints fans took over the outside of AT&T Stadium following their 44-19 blowout win over the Dallas Cowboys.
In what was arguably the biggest stunner of Sunday afternoon, the New Orleans Saints came into Jerry World and crushed the Cowboys 44-19, ending Dallas’ streak of 16 consecutive regular-season home victories.
Alvin Kamara paced the way with four touchdowns (three rushing and one receiving). The Saints scored a touchdown on their first six possessions and held Dallals’ high-powered offense to just one touchdown in the victory.
Jess Nevarez shared a video of New Orleans Saints fans throwing a “parade” outside of AT&T Stadium after the Saints’ big victory:
It’s only Week 2, but New Orleans Saints fans have good reason to be optimistic about this start. The offense is finally living up to its potential under new offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak, who was brought in to replace Pete Carmichael and his system that became completely stale in the post-Drew Brees era.
The Saints have scored 91 points in their first two games (they beat the Carolina Panthers 47-10 in Week 1). To put that into perspective, the Arizona Cardinals are currently the second-highest-scoring team with 69 points.
New Orleans will try to make it 3-0 on the year when they host Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles at the Caesars Superdome next Sunday.
New Orleans Saints Already Look Like Contenders
Under Dennis Allen, the Saints have consistently produced a top-10 defense. The only thing that held them back from 2021 to 2023 was an inconsistent offensive unit, which was usually hampered by lackluster quarterback play.
But Derek Carr looks as good as ever in an offense led by stars Alvin Kamara, Chris Olave and Rashid Shaheed, who’s off to a phenomenal start with seven receptions for 169 yards and two touchdowns.
If the Saints keep this up, they should finally re-emerge as a Super Bowl contender for the first time in the post-Drew Brees era.
