A video shared online shows the two stars suddenly raising their voices while standing in the crowd. Cardi B even took off her shoes to throw at Nicki Minaj.

The cause of the fight is said to originate from Nicki Minaj. An attendee of the event revealed to People that Nicki started the fight with Cardi first.
Specifically, according to this person, when Nicki Minaj was taking photos with Kelly Rowland and La La Anthony, Cardi B suddenly passed by at that time. Seeing her junior, Nicki Minaj intentionally stepped on Cardi B’s skirt.
Having her dress stepped on by Nicki Minaj, Cardi B immediately got angry and took off her shoes and threw them at her senior. Some witnesses present at the event said the incident happened so quickly that one had to watch the video again to understand the details.
