Taylor Swift sent Selena Gomez a special birthday message yesterday (July 22).
The singer took to Instagram to wish her friend a Happy 26th Birthday despite not being able to make the bash in Los Angeles.
Posting a picture of a pink birthday cake decorated in Gomez’s honour, Swift wrote: ”Will I let distance stop me from celebrating my best friend’s birthday? I mean, I could but why would I want 2?
The second line of her post was in reference to Selena’s single ‘Hands To Myself’, and the cake itself featured the words ”Gomez or Go Home”.
In photos posted on Instagram by fellow singer Grace VanderWaal, Gomez and her friends were seen enjoying a birthday party in the ‘Bad Liar’ singer’s honour.
Meanwhile, Swift recently got stuck in a basket mid-air during one of her shows in the US.
The singer was performing her recent hit ‘Delicate’ at Philadelphia’s Lincoln Financial Field when the on-stage malfunction happened.
Swift, James Corden, Sir Ian McKellen and Jennifer Hudson are also reportedly set to star in an all-new movie adaptation of the musical, ‘Cats’.
It is being been adapted for the big screen by Billy Elliot‘s Lee Hall.
The team behind Les Miserables – Tim Bevan, Eric Fellner, Debra Hayward and Hooper – will produce the film.
