Pro-Palestinian advocates have consistently urged celebrities to use their platforms to raise awareness about the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

Rabat – Renowned Pop singers Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez attended a Gaza fundraising event last week, according to converging reports.
The event was hosted by American-Egyptian comedian Ramy Youssef at his Brooklyn comedy club, as part of the “More Feelings” tour.
The event, held at the Brooklyn Academy of Music, pledged all proceeds to the American Near East Refugee Aid (ANERA), supporting relief efforts for Gaza.
Pictures of Swift and Gomez, accompanied by model Cara Delevingne, allegedly departing from the event were widely shared online, fueling speculation about their roles in supporting relief efforts in Gaza.
ANERA is a non-governmental organization established after the 1967 Six-Day War. It focuses on humanitarian needs for Palestinian refugees, investing in education, agriculture, water, sanitation, and health programs.
While Swift and Gomez attended the Gaza fundraising event, their silence about the Israeli occupation’s offensive in Gaza has sparked controversy.
Gomez, in particular, faced criticism for her beauty brand, Rare Beauty, staying silent amid the ongoing bombardment in Gaza.
Some fans initiated a global boycott of Rare Beauty and accused Gomez of “centering herself” in a social media post where she expressed her decision to take a break due to the world’s horrors.
The brand later posted about the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and announced committing donations to organizations including the Magen David Adom, an Israeli charity.
The move has triggered further backlash from fans who criticized Gomez for supporting an Israeli organization.
Pro-Palestinian advocates have consistently urged celebrities to leverage their platforms to raise awareness about the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
The ongoing Israeli offensive has left a devastating toll, with over 18,000 Palestinians killed and morethan 46,000 injured.
