Former Disney Channel star Selena Gomez has revealed that she and music producer Benny Blanco have been dating for the last six months.

Gomez, 31, made the revelation while responding to an Instagram comment regarding her relationship with Blanco, 35.

“If you can’t handle the hate then stop posting pictures of your boyfriend lol – it should be special between you two only,” a critic wrote after Gomez slammed several trolls who were displeased about the romance. “Don’t be mad at your fans. They love you. @selenagomez.”

The “Come & Get It” singer clapped back, stating she was “not mad.”

“It’s been 6 months bb. I will always defend my friends family and fans till the day I die,” she added.

Elsewhere in the post, Gomez stood up for her new beau by saying that Blanco — born Benjamin Joseph Levin — “is my absolute everything in my heart.”

“I don’t understand. If you actually care about me. This is my happiest,” Gomez said to another internet troll on the same post. “If you don’t, feel free to say whatever you want. But I will never allow your words to guide my life. Ever.”

“I’m done. If you can’t accept me at my happiest then don’t be in [my] life at all,” the “Only Murders in the Building” star continued.

Despite all the hate the actress has received, a source close to the couple told “Entertainment Tonight” that “Selena and Benny have been casually seeing each other for a while and more recently, it became more official.”

“Things have been going really well between them and Selena is happy,” the source continued. “She thinks Benny is very funny and of course, extremely talented. Selena is in a great place in her life and feels content and relaxed.”

The pair have been friends for years and Blanco is also a pal of Gomez’s ex, Justin Bieber.

In 2021, Blanco reportedly called her “one of those cookie-cutter pop artists.”

In response, the singer told commenters that she’s “been in therapy since I was 18.”
