The child actor made his film debut playing a younger Ryan Reynolds in The Adam Project.

Actor Walker Scobell is currently riding high on the success of the Disney Plus series Percy Jackson and the Olympians. Based on the popular young-adult fantasy novel series, Scobell played the lead role of Percy Jackson, the demigod who is the son of Poseidon in the series. The show is the second adaptation of the novels, with the first one starring Logan Lerman.
Scobell had his dream debut as a younger version of Ryan Reynolds in Shawn Levy’s The Adam Project. The actor has a good off-screen friendship with the Deadpool star, which has given traction to rumors that Scobell would be playing Kidpool in the upcoming MCU film Deadpool 3. However, the actor recently broke the silence on the rumors.
Is Walker Scobell In Deadpool 3?
Walker Scobell as Percy Jackson
Actor Walker Scobell seems to be the new kid on the block who is getting all the big franchises. Making his debut in Ryan Reynolds’ The Adam Project, he quickly rose to prominence when he was cast as Percy Jackson in the Disney Plus series Percy Jackson and the Olympians. The series premiere reportedly had a record viewership of 13.3 million.
While Scobell rules the seas as the son of Poseidon, he is also rumored to play a younger version of Reynolds again in the upcoming MCU film Deadpool 3. The film is set to be a multiversal story that also stars Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine and is rumored to star Jennifer Garner as Elektra. However, fans also speculate that Scobell would play the role of Kidpool.
A still from The Adam Project
The rumors began when X user Caleb Williams posted a video that showed Ryan Reynolds and Walker Scobell reciting lines from Deadpool 2 on the sets of The Adam Project. The child actor recites them in the sarcastic and humorous tone that Deadpool is known for. The caption for the video said, “So @VancityReynolds totally got @walkerscobell3 to cameo as Kidpool in #Deadpool3 right?”
While the rumor mill went on with the fan cast, the news reached the Percy Jackson star as well. In a global press tour for the series, Scobell addressed the rumors to ComicBook.com. When asked if there was a chance he would reunite with Reynolds in Deadpool 3, he said,
“Not that I know of. I think I learned a lot of valuable lessons from them that I used while filming Percy Jackson…I’m not sure. Hopefully, we will reunite someday. But I don’t know.”
The rumors of Walker Scobell starring in Deadpool 3 gained even more traction when Ryan Reynolds liked the video posted by Caleb Williams.
