Drama-scarred former “Scandal” star Columbus Short was just released from jail — but he may wish he were back inside because his ex-wife is accusing him of being a bigamist.
Karrine Steffans — whose nickname was Superhead for reasons we can’t describe in a family newspaper — has decided to get some things off her chest about her, ahem, complex relationship with Short, who was recently jailed for beating his current wife.

Steffans told Page Six that she suspects Short may have been married to another woman when he married her, although she insists she didn’t know he was married at the time, and she says that he tried to get back with her once he had moved on to his next wife.
Steffans — a legendary hip-hop “video vixen” in the early aughts who has dated the likes of Usher, Diddy, Lil’ Wayne, Ne-Yo, Bobby Brown, Shaq, Vin Diesel, Ice-T and even Bill Maher — married Short in January 2016. And she was perhaps understandably miffed when Short said in an interview with Sirius’ Dion Deezy that he was never married to her.
Now, as Short is released from jail after just 34 days of a one-year sentence for beating his current wife, Aida Abramyan, Steffans says she wants to get the story straight about her ex.
Steffans sent us a copy of her marriage certificate, and says that she now believes he denied that they were ever married because he was still married to actress Tanee McCall.
Steffans told us, “I’ve been silent in the press for two years, but I’m tired of all the lies they tell about me.”
Steffans showed Page Six texts that she claims are from July, during Short’s relationship with Aida.
While Aida tweeted, “Columbus and I have a great marriage,” and “missing my hubby,” while he was in jail, Steffans said that he texted her around that time, “I’ve never loved a woman other than Tanee more than loved you [sic],” and telling her he loves her.
Short also wrote to Steffans, “I wish I could just become the biggest movie star on the planet, wisk [sic] you away to another country and live our lives.”
Short, through his publicist — who is also his wife, Aida — denied that he was married to Steffans and that he exchanged the messages with her.
