The Wahlberg-Brewster relationship was mostly quiet but the cast and crew of the franchise had the gist of it as she got one of the primary roles in the movie franchise alongside Vin Diesel and Walker while she was dating the Shooter actor.

Paul Walker’s character Brian O’Conner was scripted to kiss Jordana Brewster’s Mia Toretto. “I had to do a love scene with Jordana,” Walker told TV Guide Online. However, he was terrified of it as she was dating Hollywood action star, Mark Wahlberg at the time.
“And there was a rumor that he wanted to be on the set the day Jordana and I locked lips. I kept looking around to see if he was there. I admit I was a little nervous, but it was cool: Mark never appeared and Jordana was a complete sweetheart. The only downside was hearing the crew snickering while we were trying to get it on.”
It was both awkward and terrifying for Walker and there was no one to ease up his situation as no one could confirm if Wahlberg was actually set to meet his girlfriend at the time. But his visit turned out to be a ruse and it was a relief for Walker.

After his passing in 2013, Brewster recalled fond memories of her co-star who didn’t care much about Hollywood’s showbiz and lived a down-to-earth life. In their 15 years of working relationship, what Brewster experienced from the late actor was something special. “I adored Paul yeah very much,” Brewster told HuffPost Live.
“Paul was the kind of guy, I mean I remember shooting Fast Five in Puerto Rico and one of the crew guys got sick and like he was the guy would go visit um cameraman in the hospital like not tell anyone about it. Like he so, he was extremely close with the crew and he was close with everyone on sets.”
Further, the 43-year-old revealed that Walker kept his fellow cast and crew members “very calm and down to earth and mellow.” Also, he never acted like a celebrity in his life, he would go out and have fun on his own terms which was contrasting to the notion of a regular celebrity.
