Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan became world famous overnight when they starred in the hit Fifty Shades of Grey movies. Based on the book series of the same name, needless to say, filming for the movies was more than they could have handled.

Despite being extremely comfortable filming naked almost the majority of the time, Johnson unfortunately had quite a few injuries while filming often resulting from the countless s*x scenes featured in the film. But one scene in the trilogy was more painful than it appeared to be, causing her to feel ‘whiplashed’.

Despite how it may appear to be, the sets of Fifty Shades of Grey were not free from injuries. Portraying the role of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steel, Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson shared multiple intimate scenes that often resulted in Johnson getting injured.

While talking to Yahoo Movies, the Persuasion star got candid about her experience and revealed the one unfortunate scene that ended up being physically disastrous for her.

“Jamie (Dornan) was throwing me on a bed. We did 17 takes so my head just snapped back all day and when I woke up I couldn’t move my neck. Which was really terrible.”

The unexpected scene, which might appear to be extremely unharming for the viewers, ended up causing unexpected injury to the actress. While she had more than a few injuries, her co-star Dornan escaped unharmed as he later explained to the news site.

“I don’t think I injured myself ever, but I think Dakota came out a little bit worse! I think Dakota has been vocal about how she was bruised up after a couple of days when stuff got a little bit real in the red room.”

Despite the awkward, weird, and painful experience, Dornan described their relationship as almost sibling-like.

Contrary to what one might believe after witnessing the endless s*x scenes and cheesy lines between Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan in the Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy, the lead stars feel they share a sibling-like relationship. During an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Dornan stated that although there were plenty of awkward moments, he and his co-star had shared a mutual love and respect for each other.

Even Johnson, in an interview with Vanity Fair, revealed she saw her co-star as a brother figure and loved and trusted him despite doing the weirdest things for years. In a separate interview with Glamour, the actress revealed that Dornan was extremely protective of her while filming intimate scenes.

While critics and anti-fans would probably find issues with their ‘sibling-like’ relationship status and comments, the two stars are unbothered about their haters or negative comments. Even with the number of awkward and weird moments they have had and the nature of the trilogy, both actors remain genuinely grateful for the opportunity the series has provided them (via People).
