Amother has thanked popstar Justin Bieber for meeting her terminally ill daughter and making her ‘wish come true’.
Heartbroken Pam Drew shared a photo of the singer with her daughter, Karlee, who died following a battle with myelodysplastic syndrome, a bone marrow and blood disorder which later turned into acute myeloid leukaemia.
The girl from Rochester, New Hampshire, got to meet her idol back in May through the Make-A-Wish Foundation and was the “happiest her mother had seen in a long while”.
In an emotional Facebook post this week, her mother thanked Bieber “with all her heart” for agreeing to meet her in Boston.
“She has since passed and I need to make sure you know how much you made her happy. She had been following you since the beginning,” she wrote.
“On one of her last days she was unresponsive to all except when the paramedic had put your song on his phone on her chest and my daughters head bounced up and down a few times and she smiled.

“Thank you so so much. I hope you know you are the sweetest, kindest person. Please know you really do make such a difference in this world, spreading love to so many. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.”
A Facebook page dedicated to Karlee also posted: “Our thoughts and prayers are with Karlee’s family at this difficult time – we will remember Karlee for her smile and her love for cheerleading.”
In another post following the May concert, her mother wrote: “Karlee had an amazing night with Bieber, she was the happiest I have seen her in a long time. She smiled from ear to ear. During the concert she would sing and bounce her head side to side with a smile.”
