Greg Olsen got the best of ESPN reporter Adam Schefter — and Travis Kelce — on Sunday.
As Kelce continues to dominate headlines thanks to his play for the Chiefs and his relationship with Taylor Swift, Schefter commented on X that the Kansas City star was the only tight end in NFL history to have more than two straight 1,000-yard receiving seasons.

Olsen, now a Fox broadcaster, responded with a GIF of himself in a Carolina Panthers uniform with a look of disbelief and the caption, “[I’d] like a word.”
Olsen was referring to his three consecutive 1,000-yard seasons with Carolina from 2014-16.

“[I] stand corrected,” Schefter posted in response. “Greg Olsen had three straight 1,000-yard receiving seasons, the second longest streak in NFL history for any tight end behind Travis Kelce.”
Kelce, 34, entered Sunday’s regular-season finale against the Los Angeles Chargers needing just 16 yards to get to the 1,000-yard mark for the eighth consecutive year, which is, indeed, a record.
However, the Chiefs ruled Kelce out for the game, calling it a “coaching decision,” as Kansas City was already locked into the No. 3 seed after clinching the AFC West last week.

Kelce’s career high for yards, 1,416, came in the 2020 season.
Olsen had a career-best 1,104 in 2015 for Carolina during Cam Newton’s MVP season, in which the Panthers reached the Super Bowl.
