Gerard Pique played under both legendary managers
Gerard Pique played under both Sir Alex Ferguson and Pep Guardiola and his answer to who is better has got everyone talking.
The former Spain international made his Manchester United debut under the legendary Scot and went on to make 23 appearances at Old Trafford before returning to Barcelona.
Pique went on to make 616 appearances in all competitions for the Catalan club, winning nine La Liga titles and three Champions League crowns.
He was an integral part of Guardiola’s famous side which won the treble in 2009 alongside his countryman Carlos Puyol.
Pique was recently asked to compare both of former side’s in various categories.
He claimed United had a better stadium and fans but claimed Barcelona had a better badge and club history before he was asked to compare his two legendary managers.
Pique was unable to separate the two and named them both as the greatest of all-time.
“I think that Barcelona had one of the biggest in history which is Pep Guardiola and Manchester United with Sir Alex Ferguson.”

Speaking about his relationship with Ferguson at United, Pique described the Scot as ‘a second dad’.
“He had that quality of really taking care of the young ones that were coming through.
“At the time they had a lot of young talent and Cristiano Ronaldo had just arrived, too.
“When I was in the dressing room, I felt very integrated and we had a very good team. My experience was incredible.
“I still have a really great relationship with some of my teammates like Rio Ferdinand and Wayne Rooney.”
After retiring from football, Pique founded the Kings League – a new format football league made up from teams whose owners are content creators from major social media platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and Twitch.
Ex-stars such as Sergio Aguero and Iker Casillas have all featured in the league.
