Selena Gomez doesn’t have bad blood with Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner. Amid rampant internet speculation about what exactly Gomez was whispering to Taylor Swift and Keleigh Teller about at the 2024 Golden Globes on Sunday, one viral theory has been put to rest.

During a commercial break at the ceremony, Gomez, who was nominated for her role on Only Murders in the Building, went up to Swift’s table, presumably to spill some tea to her longtime friend, who was nominated for her concert film, Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour.
The whispers prompted several fan theories online, chief among them that Gomez had asked Chalamet for a picture and Jenner had said no. However, ET has learned that Gomez never went up to Chalamet and Jenner and asked for a photo. She never saw them, ET has learned.

While the Chalamet-Jenner connection was the most prominent fan theory, others were quick to make the viral conversation into a meme. From jokes about Swift’s boyfriend, Travis Kelce, and his Kansas City Chiefs, to questions about Gomez’s long-awaited next album, the possibilities seemed endless.
As for Chalamet and Jenner, Sunday’s Globes marked a major milestone for them as it was their awards show debut. Jenner was there to support Chalamet, who was nominated for his performance in Wonka. Though Paul Giamatti ultimately beat out Chalamet, the actor appeared to have a great time with his date, whom he frequently kissed throughout the evening.
“Even though Kylie has so many of her own commitments, she is very proud of Timothée and wants to be there for him and support him,” a source told ET last month. “Timothée is equally supportive of Kylie and admires her strong work ethic and how committed she is as a mom.”
