NFL fans had the same complaint about Tom Brady during his debut as an analyst for FOX Sports on Sunday in Cleveland.

The 47-year-old Tom Brady officially began the 10-year, $375 million deal he signed with FOX Sports in 2022. He worked the Cleveland Browns-Dallas Cowboys game alongside new partners Kevin Burkhardt and Erin Andrews.

Brady received mixed reviews in his debut as an NFL analyst. The seven-time Super Bowl champion was noticeably but understandably nervous and sometimes struggled to complete sentences throughout the contest.

And this awkward exchange with rules analyst Mike Pereira in the booth didn’t help matters:

On social media, fans also shared one frequent complaint about Tom Brady. They felt as though he lacked general excitement and seemed to be bored out of his mind throughout the game

In Tom Brady’s defense, he wasn’t exactly calling the most thrilling game for his broadcasting debut, either. The Cowboys cruised to a 33-17 victory over the Browns, but the game was really over in the third quarter when a KaVontae Turpin punt return touchdown put the visitors up by 24.

The Cowboys sacked Deshaun Watson six times and forced two Cleveland turnovers in the victory. Love or hate Brady’s debut as an analyst, but it’s hard to fake excitement during a game when it’s completely lopsided.

Tom Brady Calls Cowboys vs. Saints Next Week

During the Cowboys-Browns game, it was announced that the seven-time Super Bowl champion, Burkhardt and Andrews will again be assigned to calling America’s Team next Sunday.

FOX has assigned its No. 1 team to the Cowboys home opener against Derek Carr and the New Orleans Saints, who soundly defeated the Carolina Panthers 47-10 at the Caesars Superdome on Sunday.

Criticize Brady’s work in the broadcast booth all you want, but the future Hall of Fame inductee can only get better from here…especially if he’s assigned to better games going forward.
