Cardi B is starting her New Year’s resolutions early.
The “Bodak Yellow” rapper said she is dropping “dead weight” before ringing in 2024 after fans noticed she unfollowed her husband, Offset, on Instagram.
“Don’t wait until the 25th or like three days before the new year,” she told her followers on an Instagram Live obtained by blog Gossip Of the City.
“We keep saying every year, ‘New year, new me, new this, new that.’ Bitch, I’m taking that s–t to the f–king heart!”
Cardi — born Belcalis Almánzar — said she is making changes within her career, finances and personal life because she knows where she “wanna be in life.”
“You gotta rid of dead weight and when it comes to dead weight, I’ll say mentality, procrastination, laziness and people,” she added, seemingly holding back tears.

“A lot of people are dead weight, too.”
The Grammy winner, 31, furthered that as a Libra, she always wants to protect other people’s feelings and their image.
However, she said, “Next year is gonna be all about me.”

“Big shoes are going to have to get filled and some people are going to have to get the f–k out. … Stop protecting other people’s feelings,” she concluded.
Cardi’s cryptic video message comes after news surfaced that she and the Migos rapper, also 31, were no longer following each other on Instagram.

Additionally, the “Clout” collaborators also shared cryptic messages on their Instagram Stories Monday.
“You know when you just out grow [sic] relationships,” Cardi wrote on one slide, which was followed by, “I’m tired of protecting peoples [sic] feelings…I GOTTA PUT MYSELF FIRST.”
Meanwhile, Offset — whose real name is Kiari Cephus — shared a scene from “Scarface,” where Al Pacino’s character shouts, “Hey, f–k you, man! Who put this thing together? Me! Who do I trust? Me!”
