There have been a few tough weeks for the Mahomes family following Patrick Mahomes’ Super Bowl win, with a few scandals involving other family members and with the quarterback’s grandmother, Debbie Bates Martin, passing away.

Debbie Bates Martin died after a series of health problems on April 5, at the age of 72.

This has been tough for the whole family, but especially for the NFL star’s mother, Randi Mahomes.

This week she shared another message expressing her struggles with this bereavement.

“Missing my mom so much it hurts and trying not to cry again in front of my daughter is impossible,” she said on Twitter, where she received several supportive messages.
