On Sunday night her Game Of Thrones character emerged from a blazing wooden chamber, naked and triumphant.

Now Emilia Clarke, who plays the flame-proof Daenerys Targaryen, Mother Of Dragons, has spoken about her spectacular nude scene that wrapped the latest episode of the HBO medieval drama.

She told Entertainment Weekly: ‘This is all me, all proud, all strong. That ain’t no body double!’

Daenerys literally burned the house down to escape her arrogant Dothraki captors who are killed in the conflagration – and emerged from the flames unscathed but minus her clothes, of course.

The British actress added: ‘I’m just feeling genuinely happy I said yes [to the scene].’

The 29-year-old also mentioned that she very rarely appears without clothes in the medieval fantasy series that is known for its graphic sex, blood and gore.

Emilia Clarke shows fury in fiery nude clip from Game of Thrones

She was first seen naked in Season 1 when she stepped onto her husband’s pyre with three dragons’ eggs and emerged unscathed with her hatchlings, proving herself to be The Unburnt and a worthy leader.

And Emilia added: ‘I’d like to remind people the last time I took my clothes off was season 3. That was a while ago. It’s now season 6.’

The actress described Sunday night’s pivotal scene as ‘so exciting, very tingly-making.

‘Every season I get at least one spine-chilling moment. I just stand up and I go, “I’m hearing what you’re all saying, but funny thing, I’m going to kill you all. I forgot that I have an ace in my back pocket and now I win.” ‘

Showrunner David Benioff told EW he was equally impressed by the star, who filmed the sequence partially on a closed set in Ireland and at the Vaes Dothrak village set built in the desert in Spain.

‘Emilia absolutely crushed it. It’s one of those weird scenes because it was half shot in Spain, half in Belfast,’ he said. ‘But largely due to her performance, it works brilliantly.’
