LeBron James’s son Bronny James was working out Monday when he suddenly suffered cardiac arrest. The University of Southern California basketball player would be rushed to the hospital immediately and is now in stable condition and no longer in the ICU, per a statement from the James family.
Since the news dropped, there have been a number of people to state this situation was brought on by the COVID vaccine.
Jason Whitlock is shockingly not one of those people.
The former ESPN and Fox Sports personality took to Twitter after the news and stated he does not believe anyone in the James’ family actually took the vaccine.
“I don’t believe LeBron or his family took the vaccine. I believe most elite athletes faked taking the vaxx. No way men in prime physical health injected a rushed vaccine into their bodies. I refuse to believe that. That’s my conspiracy. I don’t know what happened to Bronny.”
TMZ stated Bronny was unconscious before he was taken by ambulance to the hospital. A 911 dispatcher can also be heard saying “unconscious” in audio obtained by the outlet.
Bronny, the oldest son of James, is entering his freshman year at USC. In May, he announced his commitment to play for the Trojans next season.
The 18-year-old was a four-star recruit after starring at Sierra Canyon High School. The 6-foot-3 combo guard averaged 14 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists at Sierra Canyon in his senior season, during which he was named a McDonald’s All-American.
Like his dad, Bronny competed in the slam dunk competition at the high school showcase, which took place 20 years after James won the dunk contest as part of the McDonald’s All-American festivities.
The soon-to-be 19-year-old becomes draft-eligible in 2024.
