The Harry Potter franchise did not simply give its fans a legacy and a historically precious creation but brought together three people who would mean more to each other than any two people in the industry. Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint – the infamous trio – enjoyed break-out success after the franchise’s premiere with Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone in 2001. The decade that followed was what made them into a family, bound together for the rest of their lives through one extraordinary experience, adventure, incalculable nostalgia, and indelible memories.

Daniel Radcliffe Recalls Bickering With Emma Watson

If one misses the days of old when Harry Potter and his posse of young adventurers would bravely strut into the Forbidden Forest, the Muggle world, find secret chambers or face-off against the Dark Lord in battles, one need not look much further than the fictional world of witchcraft and wizardry. Stories abound on how the sets of the film series were equally populated with constantly bickering children, fighting almost like siblings on the most irrelevant or trivial of subjects, and going days without speaking after the battle of words were done and over with.

In an interview with RadioTimes, Daniel Radcliffe spoke about the fights that he used to get into with his co-star, Emma Watson:

“We used to argue about everything. Religion. Politics. I remember one of the big arguments we had on the fourth film – we didn’t speak to each other for a couple of days – was about… She was arguing about the Latin language, that nobody knows what it sounds like, and what a Latin accent should be. And I was like, ‘Yeah, but it’s still spoken a lot in the Catholic Church.’

Such a w**** argument, looking back, and it got totally out of hand. She was furious; I was livid. I certainly would advise anyone, if you’re going to debate with her, know your s***.”

The incident, although one of many, always ended the same way – with both parties making up a couple of days later. Having spent almost the majority of their childhood and teenage years around each other, the Harry Potter trio have become as close as siblings over the years and as such, it would be remiss of them to not commemorate the newfound familial bond without the bickering and silly fights.

The Current Status of the Wizarding World at Warner Bros.

Warner Bros. Discovery has recently confirmed the development of a Harry Potter series that will serve as a reboot of the film franchise. The series, to be distributed via WBD’s streaming platform, Max, will include a more diverse cast as compared to its original roster and include the controversial author, J.K. Rowling, as an executive producer in the project. So far, the series is said to adapt all 7 books of the Harry Potter mythology with each season specifically delving into the events of a book. The involvement of the original franchise cast in the upcoming reboot is not yet known.

The Harry Potter films are available for streaming on Max.
