New year, new “challenge” for Tom Brady to tackle.

When discussing the Fox opportunity that awaits him in the fall, the retired NFL quarterback said Tuesday on his SiriusXM podcast, “Let’s Go!” that he’s “excited” to step out of his “comfort zone” after 23 seasons on the field.

“I’ve got a big broadcasting job that’s gonna start in September. I’m already working hard on trying to make sure I’m ready for that opportunity, I’m prepared mentally and emotionally for that challenge. Cause it is a challenge. It’s something that’s new, it’s outside of my comfort zone,” the 46-year-old Brady said.

“I’m excited to get out there and try something and see how I do. But it’s gotta be about what my preparation is and what my work ethic is. And hopefully, a lot of the things that I’ve done in my career have prepared me for that.”

Brady signed a monster 10-year, $375 million contract with Fox in May 2022, four months before he began what would be his final NFL season.

He will slide into Fox’s top booth alongside play-by-play man Kevin Burkhardt, who has been working with former NFL tight end Greg Olsen.

The duo of Burkhardt, 49, and Olsen, 38, replaced Fox’s former top team of Troy Aikman and Joe Buck, who both moved to ESPN’s “Monday Night Football” in early 2022.

Buck, 54, spoke about helping Brady with the transition on this week’s installment of The Post’s “Marchand and Ourand” podcast

“It’s a new situation for him, and I’m anxious to see how he does with all that,” Buck said.

“I know that he’s talked to Troy about it, he’s talked to intermediaries about maybe getting with me and having me help him, which I’m totally open to doing and would love to do.”

Brady spent the first 20 seasons of his career with the Patriots, winning six Super Bowls with New England.

He moved to Tampa Bay in 2020 and won a Super Bowl with the Buccaneers in February 2021.
