The Most Epic Red Carpet Fails Of All Time Will Make You Cringe: There is the presence of Emma Watson

Graham Trips Up

Ashley Graham has been one of the hardest-working plus-sized models of the 21st century. She is also a television presenter and social media influencer, which has helped her rise to recognition in the United States. Besides striving to be her best self, she also has some off days, one of which couldn’t come at a worse time.

Graham hit the red carpet at the 2017 Time 100 Gala in New York City, both figuratively and literally, in a rare embarrassing moment. While making her way down the carpet after a flurry of photos, her heel got entangled with her silky dress, and she tripped, almost falling.

Fashion Too Far?

Britney Spears is regarded as the Queen of Pop, and rightly so. Besides giving us some of the best hits of all time, she has been a fashion icon for as long as we can remember, with some of her best statements coming during the late ’90s and early ’00s.

This dress was among the extensive list of outfits that she made headlines with. While she has always been an advocate for bold fashion, most of her fans felt that she took it too far and that she should have covered herself more. It still goes down as one of her iconic moments, though.

rple bruise on her hip backstage as she reflected on and mocked the moment. Too bad she wouldn’t leave with a gong that day!

Awkward Emma Watson Unwrap

Emma Watson became famous for portraying Hermione Granger in the enormously successful “Harry Potter” series, a role she played for a decade. Despite starting her career at a young age and growing into the scene gracefully, she also has her awkward moments, contrary to most people’s belief that celebrities have to be perfect.

Watson is always eager to embrace any moments that come her way with a smile on her face. This was clearly visible when her dress accidentally came unwrapped at the premiere of “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.” Luckily, she didn’t panic and put it back seamlessly.

Up Close and Cheeky With Cameron Diaz

Leslie Mann and Cameroon Diaz starred in the romantic comedy film “The Other Woman,” where they were impressive as they were on the red carpet of the film’s premiere in 2014. They looked as happy as they could be, and why not when they had finished a masterpiece they will always be known for?

Mann’s ever-smiling and joyful nature seemed to get the best of her as she got a bit frisky with Diaz. She danced around Diaz and even slyly grabbed her behind. She must have thought she would get away with it, but everyone around them seemed to notice the cheeky moment.

Up and Down the Stairs

Hayden Panettiere is well known for her roles in “Heroes” and “Nashville.” However, despite her fame over the years, it wasn’t enough to prevent her from having an off moment while attending the 2014 MET Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, contrary to the expectations of many.

The museum’s stairs have been known to be hostile to people in heels, and Panettiere was just another victim. She seemed to lose her footing as she went up the red carpet stairs, and she seemed to be in utter distress in her voluminous ball gown. Luckily, she seemed to recover pretty quickly as she celebrated reaching the final step.

Lohan Goes Down

Lindsay Lohan rose to stardom with her scintillating role in the 1998 Disney film “The Parent Trap” before carrying on her impressive form in almost every role she played. While she was a child actor then, she has become one of the industry’s best actresses.

Lohan has also had her fair share of embarrassing moments in public. It happened again when she tripped and fell on the red carpet of the Ischia Film Festival in Italy in 2014. With her dazzling silver flapper-inspired dress and matching heels, we would love to say it was a graceful fall, but it definitely wasn’t.

An Awkward Kiss

Scarlett Johansson is one of the most successful actresses in Hollywood. Having started her career as a child actor, she made a name for herself through productions such as “The Black Widow” and “Avengers: Endgame.” Due to her status, she has been at the center of some pretty awkward moments.

Anyone who attended the 2015 Oscars can remember the moment when John Travolta tried to plant a kiss on Johansson’s cheek while holding her midsection. However, she was looking straight ahead and didn’t flinch, making it look like she was a wax figure. Despite critics, the encounter was “sweet and totally welcome,” according to her.

Adam Levine to The Rescue

Maroon 5 frontman and heartthrob Adam Levine and his wife, Victoria’s Secret model Behati Prinsloo, have always been a couple to adore. However, they have also had controversial moments on camera, and one of the worst has to be when her dress almost fell off and displayed more than planned.

While attending the Vanity Fair post-Oscars party in 2015, Prinsloo almost suffered the worst wardrobe fail ever, and it would have been if Levine hadn’t been there. He gracefully covered the scene with his hand while she fixed it, making it an adorable moment, except for the stern look on his face.

She Just Won’t Leave

Red carpet events draw a large number of public figures from the entertainment industry and become a hive of activity for reporters attempting to interview them. While it is pretty overwhelming for the artists, it is also stressful for the reporter trying to switch from one celebrity to the other.

Giuliana Rancic found herself in a fix at the 2016 Emmy Awards when she was interviewing “Game of Thrones” star Emilia Clarke and attempted to dismiss her so that she could interview Heidi Klum. However, Clarke appeared not to want to leave, presenting an awkward situation for both her and Rancic.

Rubberwoman in the Building

Red carpet events call for near-perfection in everything the guests do. However, contrary to the expectations, something seems to go wrong, or an awkward moment appears out of nowhere. Actress Marion Cottilard was not giving anyone a chance to make fun of her when she dropped her earing at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival.

Cottilard was clad in a white jumpsuit and heels, and it looked like things would go haywire when she had to pick her earing from the red carpet. However, she showed her flexibility when she contorted herself to get down and pick it up while maintaining her balance.

Klum Goes Boom

Hosting a red carpet event is always a pleasure for any celebrity who is chosen for the role. Heidi Klum was selected to host the 2008 Emmy Awards, and having been there and done that, nothing was bound to go wrong that day. However, it looks like her co-host, Tom Bergeron, had other plans.

In an awkward moment, Klum pretended to swoon in the arms of Bergeron when he accidentally dropped her. She would later show a pu

Amy Schumer’s Epic “Fall”

Celebrities are not always what many people make them out to be. They may seem ignorant when we want to take selfies, but it’s always for their own security, or they’re just having an off day. Amy Schumer encountered the same thing at the 2015 Time 100 Gala in 2015 as she tried to get the attention of Kanye West and his then-wife, Kim Kardashian.

Schumer was relatively unknown to the public then, and she threw herself down to try and capture the couple’s attention. Too bad for her, they walked away hastily, not even eager to know who she was. That was pretty embarrassing!

A Wristshake!

Reese Witherspoon and Felicity Jones have made their mark in the industry, which led to both being nominated for an Oscar for best actress. When they met on the red carpet, the cameras were due to be pointed in their direction and catch every little moment of their warm, smiley conversation, and they did see something.

In what was not an embarrassing but awkward moment for both Witherspoon and Jones, they seemed to hold each other’s wrists instead of palms. We are not sure whether we can still call it a handshake, but they both looked happy and smiley, so there’s nothing more to read from it.

Firing Back

The Vanity Fair Oscars party is the place to be for many celebrities, and some of them are not there to play around. When they show up in style and glamor, they always look forward to people’s reactions and don’t take being put down too well, as Tiffany Haddish showed us.

“Entertainment Tonight’s” Lauren Zima accidentally called Haddish’s outfit a “costume change.” However, Haddish was hoping for more than that, as she explained to Zima that it was a custom Dolce & Gabbana outfit. She continued responding until Zima had to jokingly announce her “time of death” before pretending to faint.

Rihanna’s Dress Almost Down

Celebrities are expected to attend red carpet events in the most extravagant style and glamor they can master, and they do that and even exceed expectations. However, very few seem to be prepared for the worst when choosing their outfits, as what could possibly go wrong in a room full of celebrities?

Rihanna nearly discovered the hard way that it’s better to be prepared for anything when fashion designer Stella McCartney almost tore off her dress from her body with her heel. Thankfully, it didn’t happen, and it was such a relief, even though we know Rihanna could have made it seem like just a slight inconvenience.

Lady Gaga’s Meat Dress

Lady Gaga is one personality who loves to do everything in style, and her outfit at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards was one to admire. Having arrived in an Alexandre McQueen dress before changing into a Giorgio Armani one, her third outfit was the most surprising as it was made entirely of raw meat.

The originality of the idea was not definite, but she nailed it—even rocking shoes, a hat, and a bag purely made of meat. While it elicited different reactions among her critics, she wouldn’t mind it as she won the video of the year award that night.

Trey Parker and Matt Stone All Dolled Up

Matt Stone and Trey Parker are well known for being disruptive and counter-cultural. In 2000, their animated adult production, “South Park,” which had started airing in 1997, gained widespread attention. Being the center of attention almost everywhere they went, of course, they had to do something extra when they were invited to the Academy Awards.

Everyone wears standard tuxedos or the most expensive outfit possible for the Oscars, but Parker and Stone decided to pull off a major surprise by wearing feminine dresses. Anyone who has watched their show was hardly surprised, but it was an epic red-carpet stunt nonetheless.

Macy Gray’s Album Promotion

Every artist must develop a reliable marketing strategy to keep their audience in the loop and get the most out of their work. While some are pretty impressive, others are unconventional, such as Macy Gray’s promotion of her album at the MTV VMAs in 2001.

The advert was not placed on banners or television sets but on her dress! She had the date when her new album would drop in the front and an extra motivation at the back to encourage people to buy it. Though the album didn’t do well, she was proud of the work she had put in.

Feeling Normal With Vert

Lil Uzi Vert established himself as one of the best rappers in the industry in the 2010s, leading to his nomination for Best New Artist at the 2018 Grammy Awards. While many expected him to be pumped up about the feat, even if he was, he was definitely in no mood to show it.

Vert is known to be silent and conservative, contrary to most rappers, and it was evident in an interview with journalist Giuliana Rancic. When he was asked how he was feeling, he replied that he felt “normal,” and the rest of the interview went the same way.

No To Heels

Kristen Stewart is a renowned American actress known for her role as Isabella in “The Twilight” saga. She also made headlines for being the highest-paid actress in the world in 2012; of course, we will never forget her reaction to wearing heels on the Cannes Film Festival red carpet.

Wearing heels is not the most pleasant thing for any woman, and Stewart was not afraid to remove hers when she felt like they were not comfortable. And in doing so, she not only showed her true feelings about the festival’s no-flats policy and became a women’s hero. Way to go, Kristen!

Jim Carrey’s Interview Crisis

Jim Carrey arrived at the Harper’s Bazaar Celebrates Icons by Carine Roitfeld party in 2017, all shaved up and looking youthful. However, he looked rattled and unstable during an interview with “E!” host Catt Sadler on the red carpet, which was odd for someone as experienced as he is.

The interview began with Carrey walking around Sadler and claiming that he had to find the most meaningless reason to come to the event before saying that he didn’t believe in icons. It was one of the weirdest interviews ever, and it elicited numerous negative comments. Hopefully, he was just having a bad day.

Stairs? No, Thank You

Jon Hamm is popularly known for portraying the character of Don Draper in the American drama series “Mad Men.” His work in the series didn’t go unnoticed, as he was finally nominated for an Emmy in 2015. And his excitement when it was time to receive the award was something to behold.

Hamm took it too far by deciding he didn’t have time to use the stairs and attempting to jump onto the stage. Instead, he ended up climbing, slashing, and rolling up the stage in an embarrassing moment. And that didn’t put him down, as he received the Emmy Award for Best Actor in a Drama Series.

Cara Takes a Tumble

Cara Delevigne’s career has been on the rise since her teenage years. In that period, she developed a pretty lovable personality, and she’s not shy about showing it off. However, she didn’t have the best time attending the 2014 GQ Men of the Year Awards.

Delevigne stepped onto the red carpet in style, as per usual, with her sheer gown showcasing her fabulous figure, but it didn’t take long before things went haywire. She accidentally bumped into fashion designer Jonathan Saunders and fell on her back, taking him down with her. Luckily, they both saw the funny side of it.

Worst Makeup Fail

We can all probably recall Melissa Joan Hart from the Showtime movie-turned-network series “Sabrina, the Teenage Witch,” in which she played the starring role. For all the fame she has attained over the years, one thing we wouldn’t expect from her is poor make-up, except it happened at the “Frozen” premiere.

For the average individual, a simple makeup mishap is no big deal, but not for someone like Hart, who can afford the best makeup artists. After snapping a few pictures, she noticed that her eye makeup was poorly done, and she had powder on her forehead, nose, and mouth. We guess someone lost their job that day.

Down Pretty Quickly

We all get excited by significant achievements in our lives. For creatives, receiving an award is one of the best feelings ever, and we can understand the awkward moments that often result from their excitement, even more so when it’s an Oscar. This happened at the 2019 Academy Awards, and Rami Malek fell victim.

Malek had just accepted his award for best actor for his role as Freddie Mercury in “Bohemian Rhapsody” when he tumbled down the stairs in an unexpected turn of events. He fell so hard that people rushed to help him, and the EMTs were called. Too much for the excitement, huh?

That’s a Painful One!

Toes are one of our bodies’ most delicate parts, especially when stepped on. A stubbed toe can hurt a lot, even when the injury is not serious, and this is due to the many nerves and lack of cushioning fat in the toes. Clearly, if she didn’t know this, Jennifer Lawrence learned the hard way.

Lawrence was having a moment in the limelight with her fellow “Catching Fire” cast members when she got stepped on by castmate Jena Malone. We’re pretty sure it hurt a little, but she couldn’t help but make the most of it and have a laugh about it later.

Prank Gone Too Far

Pranks are among the most controversial things. While most of them are usually bad, they are only good if they result in laughter for anyone involved. However, this is not exactly true for Ukrainian TV reporter Vitalii Sediuk, who established himself as a notorious celebrity prankster in the early 2010s.

In 2014, Sediuk was at the Cannes Film Festival in France when he met his next victim, America Ferrera. While she was busy taking photos, he dived onto the floor and put his head under her flowing skirt. Luckily for her, he was escorted out immediately, and she recovered fast.

To Err Is Human

Interviewing celebrities at a red carpet event is almost every journalist’s dream. However, sometimes the pressure can get too much and cause errors. This happened to NBC News correspondent Jenna Bush Hager as she attempted to interview Pharell Williams at the 2017 Golden Globe Awards ceremony.

Williams, who is well known for directing the movie “Hidden Figures” was almost shocked when Hager asked him how he felt to be nominated for the film “Hidden Fences.” The error proved to be the worst of her career, but she was quick to realize it later and apologize to Williams and the cast, who accepted.

Arnette’s Past Tense

Will Arnett and Amy Poehler were one power couple that most people looked up to. However, they broke their fans’ hearts in 2012 when they announced a divorce after nine years together. And it seems the news didn’t reach everyone, resulting in an awkward moment for Arnett.

During the 2013 Emmys, Arnett’s interviewer asked him how he and “his wife” had prepared for the event, and he simply replied, “I don’t really have a significant other… She doesn’t exist.” It’s not clear whether the reporter didn’t know about his separation or she was just trying to dish out details about the breakup, but it was one very uncomfortable moment.

So Beautiful It Chokes

Red carpet events are not only an avenue for celebrities to meet and interact but also to show off their sense of fashion. While every one of them desires to come out on top with great and unique fashion tastes come greater chances of an unexpected mishap, which is something Karolina Kurkova found out the hard way.

Hurkova, a Czech model, made a statement when she attended the New York City Ballet Gala in 2012 in a long, free-flowing, and sophisticated red dress. However, things almost went haywire when someone stepped on it and nearly choked her. Luckily, she wasn’t hurt and still looked glamorous after.

A Graceful Fall

Jessica Alba has been on our screens since making her debut in “The Secret World of Alex Mack” and later making a name for herself as the lead actress in the series “Dark Angel.” While she was just a teenager then, she has grown into one celebrity that startups look up to, and we have more than enough moments of her.

One of the most memorable moments of Alba on television was when she tripped and fell at the Teen Choice Awards in 2006. Luckily for her, she’s beautiful enough to make it look graceful with a smile, and even if she got hurt, we would never know!

Derulo Falls Victim

Anywhere celebrities are gathered, including galas and red-carpet events, there is always bound to be some drama. While it’s understandable that everyone trying to be at their best, some of the stories are made up or exaggerated, as was the case in the aftermath of the 2015 Met Gala.

The Gala had no shortage of celebrity figures, and in the aftermath, one of the most widespread videos of the event showed an unidentified person in a white tuxedo falling down the red carpet stairs. The press initially reported that it was Jason Derulo, only to realize that he was in Los Angeles.

Not the Best Day

Is it still an Oscars ceremony if a celebrity does not end up on the floor or simply trips? We’d seen it often enough with stars such as Rami Malek before Jennifer Lawrence joined the list in 2013. Lawrence has had her fair share of moments at major events, and this one only added to her distress.

At the 2013 Oscars, Lawrence seemingly couldn’t hide her excitement as she went to pick up her best actress award for “Silver Linings Playbook.” However, it couldn’t have worsened for her when she tripped on the stairs and almost fell face down. Thankfully, she recovered pretty quickly.

Not So ‘Cool’

“Green Day” is an American rock band well known for numerous hits, including “American Idiot” and “Basket Case.” They have had their share of awkward moments together and individually, one of which happened to their drummer, Tre’ Cool, at the 2019 MTV Europe Music Awards.

While attempting to get out of the group limousine, Cool fell out in a laughable moment for himself, fellow band members, and bystanders. Luckily for him, he was able to live up to his name and make it as cool as he could. After all, with 85 million record sales, it’s virtually impossible to embarrass oneself, or is it?

Segel and the Cleaner

Being in the public eye almost all of the time is something that celebrities often have to get used to. Whether it’s a good or bad thing depends on the personality of each star. However, some just seem to keep having bad days at major events or at one particular event, as was the case with Jason Segel at the 2012 Oscars.

Segel was just arriving when he encountered an awkward moment with a cleaner attending to a section of the red carpet. We’re not entirely sure who ran into the other, but he let out his signature laugh, clearly seeing the humor, before proceeding.

A Tasty Perry Slip

Celebrities are expected by their fans to be perfect, and they hardly realize that it is a feat unachievable by anyone. This applies to even the most popular and celebrated personalities, like Katy Perry. While she has had numerous awkward red carpet moments, her slip at the MTV Latin American Awards in 2008 will forever remain memorable.

Perry had just finished her performance at the awards ceremony when she leaped into a gigantic cake. Already embarrassed enough, she playfully threw the cake at her guitarist. And as if that wasn’t enough, she tripped over herself over and over until she gave up and crawled off stage.

Yulia Rybakova Gets Stepped on

The Cannes film festival has been one of the best events in a calendar year for as long as we can remember. Besides bringing a host of celebrities and other esteemed guests together, it has also been at the center of some of history’s most epic fashion fails.

In 2018, the 71st edition of the annual festival was held in France, and Russian beauty Yulia Rybakova became the talk of the day. Her moment came when a guest stepped on her red dress, mistaking it for the carpet, and tore it at the waist. While the man helped her fix the mishap, that didn’t restore her reputation.

Sparkling Despite a Slip-Up

No one can be perfect, no matter how hard we try or expect others to be. This applies even to royals, as Princess Mary, Crown Princess of Denmark, showed us at the 2014 Bambi Awards held in Berlin. While she arrived with all the style and glamor she would master, it almost ended badly for her.

Princess Mary was on hand to receive a Bambi that year in recognition of her tireless charity work. However, she suffered an unfortunate slip while returning from the stage after picking up her Bambi Charity Award. And luckily, she managed to steady herself and her Bambi too.

A Mysterious Limp

Actor Christopher Waltz has made a name for himself as one of the best in the industry since playing SS officer Hans Landa in “Inglourious Basterds.” He has cemented his place with numerous, undisputedly scintillating roles in major films and by being at the center of several controversial moments.

Waltz’s eccentric behavior was fully displayed at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival when he walked with a noticeable and almost borderline comedic limp. However, it has never been made clear if the action was being misinterpreted or exaggerated, despite the fact that it was talked about for a very long time.

A Clingy Fan

It’s normal to be star-struck when we meet our favorite celebrities. We get how this man felt when he finally saw Bradley Cooper in person in Los Angeles in 2014. However, it turned out that it was not a fan but popular Ukrainian journalist Vitalii Sediuk.

Sediuk is known for pulling the most tame pranks on celebrities on the red carpet. On this occasion, he rushed on to Cooper and held onto his legs firmly. Cooper laughed him off as his costars and security tried to get him off. It didn’t work out as Sediuk had envisioned it to that day.

No Time for Pranks

There’s a time for pranks and a time to be serious. Hugh Grant was trying to be serious and have a good time at the Amsterdam premiere of his romantic comedy “Music and Lyrics” when a fan ran up and handcuffed herself to him as he strode across the red carpet.

Unfortunately, the woman did not have the keys, and the police and fire rescue had to be called to cut off the cuffs. She turned out to be from a Dutch prank TV show, and she spent two hours at the police station before being released. What a long day for Grant!

Jack Harlow Shows Some Love

Celebrities and reporters are one duo that seems to give us the best moments on television and during interviews. While some celebrities don’t seem to enjoy interviews during red carpet events, Jack Harlow is not one of them, as he seemed overexuberant during an interview with Emma Chamberlain at the 2022 MET Gala.

At the end of the interview, Chamberlain, who was interviewing for “Vogue,” told Harlow that she would see him inside, and he replied, “Can’t wait. Love ya. Bye.” She murmured “Love Ya” back before immediately turning her facial expression into one of the most hilarious the internet has ever seen.

Selena Gomez’s Blue Hair Streaks

Celebrities are influential, especially when they are teen idols, as Selena Gomez was in 2007. We can all recall the wave of blue hair streaks that caught up with the teenagers then, and it turns out she was the one who started the trend.

Gomez was attending the 2007 Teen Vogue Young Hollywood Party when she pulled off the new hairstyle. When asked, she claimed that she just liked “a little edge and pop in her hair” and “wanted to add something different for the party,” and while four years later, she seemed embarrassed by the moment, it got teenagers rushing to stores for blue hair dye.

Defending My Intelligence

Journalists love to be at their best for interviews with celebrities, including doing their research to avoid embarrassment. However, it seems not everyone was familiar with Mayim Bialik’s past in 2014, as a couple of TNT interviewers during the SAG Awards found themselves on her wrong side.

What had started as an innocent interview took a different turn when one interviewer asked Bialik how many people she could solve calculus at the drop of a hat, relating to her role in “The Big Bang Theory.” However, she studied calculus and is a neuroscientist, and the interviewers were utterly embarrassed by their comments.

We have seen numerous editions of “Real Housewives,” and one thing that they have in common is their love for drama. While some of them may be different in real life, others are the same, and we have to say Sutton Stracke must belong to the latter group.

At the 2022 People’s Choice Awards, Stracke was asked whether she would like Lisa Rinna to return to “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” and she stood there in silence for a while with a blank face, making it hard to tell what her take was. The reporter eventually had to move on with a good old “Anyway…”
