1. BMW 320i 1978

The 1978 BMW 320i was Elon Musk’s first car. He bought it for $1,400 and repaired it himself. This is the first version of the legendary 3 Series that we love today.

2. McLaren F1 1997

The iconic McLaren F1 is Elon Musk’s gift to himself. According to Elon Musk, when Zip2 was bought out, he decided to buy an F1.

Then Elon Musk sold this car in 2007 and made some profit. Musk said the reason for selling the iconic car was because he didn’t want people to always write about him owning a gas-guzzling high-performance sports car.
