Williams was primarily known for epic comic timing and excellent improvisational skills. Evidently, Williams was a funny person to be around in between takes during filming. Veteran actor Hugh Grant had the fortune to work alongside Robin Willams for the 1995 film, Nine Months.
Hugh Grant on Robin Williams’ Unbelievable Improv Skills
Nine Months was a 1995 romantic comedy starring Hugh Grant in the lead role. But it was Robin Williams who stole the show with his excellent comic skills.
In an interview, Grant shared his experience of working with the comedic genius for Nine Months as he shed some light on Williams’ epic improv skills.
I’m just trying to get my line in occasionally, but that’s alright. The bottom line is he’s bloody funny and it works and that’s it. Damn him.

Hugh Grant wasn’t unhappy with Robin Williams taking the spotlight from him. Instead, he loved the fact that the actor is simply so funny that he never fails to entertain fans.

A huge reason behind Williams’ ability to make the audience laugh was his quick ability to improv during scenes. At times, it was simply too much to handle for actors, as Grant explained he was struggling to get one of his lines in during scenes with Williams.
Was Nine Months a Good Movie?
Nine Months fell into the romantic-comedy genre and had a runtime of 1 hour 43 mins, at the time of release in 1995. It followed the story of Samuel Faulkner and Rebecca Taylor.
The couple had been dating for years, with little to no problems between them. However, things change when Taylor gets pregnant, and Faulkner’s phobia of commitment takes over.

It was evident to Faulkner that he had to change his lifestyle otherwise, things could get ugly for him. Following the commitment issues displayed by Faulkner, Taylor leaves him.
But as soon as Taylor leaves Faulkner, he decides to bring her back. However, Faulkner’s efforts are rendered useless at every step, thanks to Robin Williams’ character, Dr. Kosevich.
All things considered, the movie was a one-time watch, as it has an underwhelming 5.5/10 rating on IMDb right now. But fans may still watch the film from time to time in hopes of re-watching Robin Williams in action.
One of the funniest actors of all time, ironically took his own life in 2014, due to severe depression at the age of 63.
