Emma Watson shot to fame with the speed of light in 2001 with Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. Her portrayal of everyone’s favorite fictional nerd, Hermione Granger, has stuck with fans even after all these years. However, while we might have been introduced to Emma Watson from the Harry Potter franchise, the actress has quite the filmography!

In 2012, Emma Watson was seen playing Samantha “Sam” Button in Perks of Being a Wallflower, a movie adapted from its namesake novel. The film is considered to be a sincere adaptation of the book and has received pleasant reviews from fans and critics. Still, rewatching Perks of Being a Wallflower is difficult for Emma Watson as she has to skip through quite a few scenes, including the one where she kisses her co-star, Logan Lerman.

In the film, Logan Lerman plays the role of Charlie Kelmeckis, a young wallflower, who was suffering from clinical depression. He finds solace with his seniors, Patrick and Sam. During one of the scenes, Charlie has his first kiss thanks to Sam. The two share a couple more kissing scenes in the movie. However, as far as Emma Watson is concerned, she does not forget to skip these scenes whenever she watches the $33 million movie.

In an interview with Radio 1, Watson stated, “It’s really funny because when I watch the film back, there are a few things I can’t watch. I can’t watch the Rocky Horror dancing scene, and I can’t watch the kissing scenes.” In another interview, this time with MTV News, Watson clarified that there was nothing wrong with the scene in itself and called it “the most beautiful scene” she has “ever seen written on a page.” She simply wanted to do justice to what was written.

“I mean, when I read our first kiss scene, it’s so epic. It’s like the most beautiful scene I’ve ever seen written on a page. And it was like, ‘Oh, we’re going to have to kill this one!’ Like, it’s so good, I wanted to do it justice. And it’s so emotional and we’re both so vulnerable in it, but the main thing was I get to do it with Logan. He makes me feel so safe, so it’s going to be fine, which made it fine.”

This isn’t the only time the actress had troubles revolving around a kiss, though. Thanks to the insane popularity of the Harry Potter movies, the actress recalls a time when the film came up on the television while she was making out with a guy, making things immensely awkward.

In an interview with British Vogue, Watson stated that she was once busy making out with a guy when all of a sudden, the theme tune for the magical franchise began playing on the television. Of course, this caused a complete shift in the focus of the Little Women actress.

“I’ll be making out with someone and then I am on the telly behind us. And all I can hear is the Harry Potter theme tune as I’m kissing someone, and I’m like, ‘Do I turn it off? Do I just ignore this? Is he thinking about this? Is it just me thinking about this? Maybe he doesn’t know what the Harry Potter theme tune sounds like. Maybe it’s just me.’”

Well, that has got to be a traumatic make-out session! We guess this comes with the territory of being a part of an incredible franchise, right?
