Many celebrities have launched their own alcohol brands in the past and other celebrities have promoted these brands despite having their own ventures in the same business. Brad Pitt also announced his own Gin Brand earlier this year at the Cannes Film Festival in France which is all set to hit the market in September.

However, to everyone’s surprise, Emma Watson of all celebrities took to Instagram to support the American actor’s Gin brand. The Harry Potter actress was met with widespread discontent among her fans as they went on to criticize the actress for supporting Brad Pitt who allegedly assaulted his ex-wife, Angelina Jolie in the infamous private jet incident.

Angelina Jolie revealed multiple details about the 2016 private jet incident in her lawsuit last year. According to the lawsuit, Brad Pitt lost all control and struck one of his children, and choked another one. The suit further states, he “grabbed Jolie by the head and shook her.” To stop him, the Maleficent actress allegedly threw herself at him from the back but ended up injuring herself as Pitt backed up into the seats. The Allied actor allegedly poured beer and red wine on his kids as well.

Emma Watson is one of the most well-known activists in the world for her contribution to women’s rights works. The English actress was also appointed as the UN Women Goodwill Ambassador back in 2014 and has done a lot of work in the field to help women achieve gender equality all over the world. So when Watson went on to congratulate Brad Pitt on the launch of his Gin Brand earlier this year on Instagram, she was met with widespread criticism from her fans from all over the world.

The official page of Brad Pitt’s Gin Brand, The Gardener Gin posted a picture of Brad Pitt and his business partner along with a bottle of Gin last month. The caption said, “Conceived by Brad Pitt and the Famille Perrin, The Gardener is a quest for perfection dreamed up by friends who share a love for the French Riviera.”

Emma Watson took to Instagram and congratulated the Seven actor for launching his Gin brand and commented on the picture,

” Welcome from Chablis Brad! Do you also have an annoying younger brother who’s obsessed with niche beverages?”

The Perks of Being a Wallflower actress has launched her own Gin brand with her brother, Alex Watson earlier this year. Alex Watson also replied to his sister’s comment referencing a very famous dialogue from Pitt’s cult-classic movie, Fight Club. He wrote,

“First rule of French gin club is: you DO tell everyone about French gin club”

However, fans of the actress were not very thrilled by her response and she was criticized a lot for her supporting Brad Pitt despite knowing the allegations against the actor. Many fans took to Reddit and Twitter and asked Emma Watson how can she claim to be a woman’s rights activist when she herself is supporting celebrities like the Babylon actor.
