Elon Musk and Justine Musk established their bond during their first dance at their wedding.

Walter Isaacson said in “Elon Musk,” his new biography of the tech entrepreneur, “I am the alpha in this relationship.” Elon Musk muttered this to author Justine Musk, his first wife, as they danced after their ceremony on the Caribbean island of Saint Martin.

For the book, Isaacson spoke with Justine and Elon Musk in-depth, although he doesn’t specify which of them told him about the first dance.

When Elon Musk was a sophomore at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, and Justine Musk was a freshman, they first crossed paths.

When Elon Musk went to her room to pick her up after initially seeing her at a party and inviting her for ice cream, she wasn’t there. Rather, he asked her buddy what her favorite flavor of ice cream was, went and got some, and carried the dripping cone around campus until he came across her studying.

Isaacson was told by Justine Musk, “He’s not a man who takes no for an answer,”

The book claims that Elon Musk and his fellow Queen’s students had occasional dates. However, after he relocated to the University of Pennsylvania, they continued to communicate, and he occasionally sent Justine flowers.

Following a hectic weekend spent together in New York City, Elon Musk and Justine Musk quickly resumed their connection, which culminated in an invitation for Justine to move into his Palo Alto apartment with him and his two roommates.

There were ups and downs in their relationship. Justine Musk said to Isaacson, “Elon and I were used to having big arguments in public.” “I don’t think you can be in a relationship with Elon and not argue.”

Elon Musk’s marriage to Justine Musk was opposed by certain of his friends and family. According to the book, he faced opposition from his college friend Nauj Farooq and his younger brother Kimbal Musk on their intended marriage. Maye Musk, Elon Musk’s mother, wasn’t a big admirer either.

The day before their January 2000 wedding was scheduled, Elon and Justine Musk got into a fight. Elon then informed his mother that the wedding was canceled, but it still went through.

However, Musk had to delay their honeymoon by many months in order to finalize X.com’s acquisition of PayPal. Eight months after the wedding, the couple eventually had a honeymoon in September, but due to internal conflicts at the company, they were ultimately forced to schedule impromptu tickets back to the US.

Nevada was born in 2002, the first child of Justine and Elon Musk. Sudden Infant Death Syndrome claimed his life. Justine gave birth to triplets Kai, Saxon, and Damian in 2006 and twins Griffin and Xavier in 2004 via in vitro fertilization.

Despite living in a Bel Air mansion with five nannies and housekeepers and attending parties with celebrities, the couple wasn’t content with their marriage.

According to Justine Musk, “it was basically a massive cluster fuck of disruptive things,” Isaacson was told.

According to the book, during some arguments, Justine Musk would express her hatred for Elon Musk, and he would respond by calling her a “moron” or “idiot.”

She claimed to Isaacson that Elon Musk had advised her to get a blonder hair color and that she felt like a “trophy wife” was being made of her.

She said to Isaacson, “I met him when he didn’t have much at all.” “The accumulation of wealth and fame changed the dynamic.”

“The strong will and emotional distance that makes him difficult as a husband may be reasons for his success in running a business,” she stated.

In the end, the couple got divorced in 2008. In the same year, he began dating Talulah Riley, an actor.
