The Cleveland Browns have been eliminated from the playoffs and their former franchise quarterback is moving on.

Baker Mayfield bet on himself this year, and he’s winning.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield went from the No. 1 overall pick in 2018 to an unending competition to prove his worth as a starting QB to finding a home in Tampa and showing he has what it takes.

The No. 4-seeded Buccaneers entered the wild card game against the Eagles with a record of 9-8 as the No. 5 Eagles stood at 11-6. Even though the Bucs won five of their last six games and the Eagles lost five of their last six, many had the NFC East team moving on.

Baker had other ideas as he delivered a masterful performance to will his team to a blowout victory to move on to the divisional round.

By his side every step of the way has been his wife, Emily Mayfield.

In her latest Instagram Story after the Wild Card game on Monday, Emily Mayfield wrote about how proud she was of her husband for his performance against the Philadelphia Eagles while calling out the naysayers.

“The smile is everything,” Emily wrote in response to a post about Mayfield’s game-day stats.

“So much adversity. So many naysayers. People wanting him to fail. He hasn’t stopped working, he never stopped believing … I am SO proud of him.

‘”Onto the next one, @buccaneers.”

Mayfield was 22-for-36, throwing for 337 yards, three touchdowns, and zero interceptions in Tampa’s 32-9 victory.
