TAMPA, FLORIDA – SEPTEMBER 09: Antonio Brown #81 and Tom Brady #12 of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers celebrate their touchdown during the second quarter against the Dallas Cowboys at Raymond James Stadium on September 09, 2021 in Tampa, Florida.

Since his controversial exit from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers late in the 2021 season, Brown has called out the the legendary quarterback time and time again — even poking fun at Brady’s divorce from Gisele Bündchen.

On Wednesday afternoon, Brown took to X (formerly known as Twitter) and had another message for his former New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers teammate. It appears as though Brown (at least at the moment) wants to make amends:

Several fans responded to Brown’s post and noted that it’s a reference to “The Godfather II”, so it’s hard to know the true intentions behind Brown’s message to TB12.

Following his release from the Oakland Raiders in 2019, Brown was signed by the defending Super Bowl champion Patriots. The team released Brown after one game, following accusations that he sexually assaulted his former trainer.

In the midst of the 2020 season, Brady pushed for the Buccaneers to sign Brown despite Bruce Arians’ previous warnings that he wouldn’t bring the controversial wide receiver in. Brown helped the Bucs to a Super Bowl 55 championship and signed a one-year extension in the ensuing offseason.

The Bucs released Brown after he memorably “quit” in the middle of their Week 17, 2021 game against the New York Jets. Brown and Arians got into an argument about his ankle injury, and the fed-up receiver took off his jersey and ran out of the stadium.
