The Boston Celtics beat the New York Knicks at the TD Garden in a hard-fought battle.

Even though the number 1 seeded Celtics dominated the Knicks throughout the game, a moment in the fourth quarter nearly hindered their chances of winning.

The game stirred controversy when Celtics superstar Jaylen Brown got ejected from the game for arguing with the official.

Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla revealed what Jaylen Brown said to the referee before his controversial ejection while staying cautious of the $25,000 fine.

Jaylen Brown got tossed from the game after he got two consecutive technical fouls for arguing with the referee about a foul call. After the game, Joe Mazzulla partially revealed what Brown said to the referee before his ejection. “Don’t call that weak a** sh*t.” Brown said after getting called for a personal foul on Immanuel Quickley.

Mazzulla further claimed he has seen far more disrespectful stuff slide during games. The Celtics head coach did not go into detail about what transpired because he wanted to avoid a $25,000 fine.

The Celtics All-Star’s ejection was highly controversial. Brown got called for his 5th personal foul on Immanuel Quickley as he reached for the ball while the Knicks guard drove to the rim. Jaylen did not like the referee’s call and expressed his frustration.

He received his first technical foul for the initial outburst. But what made the incident even crazier was that as the Celtics star was heading to the bench, he got called for another technical foul and was booted from the game. Brown was enraged about his ejection and charged towards the referee while his teammates held him back.

Boston came out on top despite multiple hurdles

Despite their superstar Jaylen Brown getting ejected late into the 4th quarter and Jayson Tatum not playing at his best, the Celtics managed to defeat the New York Knicks.

They won the game 133-123 with the help of Kristaps Porzingis and Derrick White’s incredible performance. Porzingis scored 21 points in the game, and White went off for his season-high 30 points to get Boston the win. Jaylen Brown also had a decent outing before he got tossed from the game. He finished with 17 points and 4 assists in 27 minutes.

Boston is still the best team in the Eastern Conference, with a 16-5 record. Their performance tonight has shown how deep their roster is. They won without their two superstars being in top form, proving they are ready to compete for the Championship.
