The Milwaukee Bucks down the Houston Rockets to stretch the winning streak to four

Milwaukee Bucks center Brook Lopez (11) drives against Houston Rockets center Alperen Sengun (28)

The Bucks have gone 4-0 since their semifinal loss in the In-Season Tournament.

The Milwaukee Bucks showed no signs of fatigue playing the back end of a back-to-back and scored a 128-119 romp over the Houston Rockets on Sunday night.

Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 26 points and hauled down a season-high 17 rebounds to pass Kareem Abdul-Jabbar as the Bucks’ career rebounding leader.

Big game from Dame
Damian Lillard had a good shooting night and finished with a game-high 39 points to help Milwaukee tally its fourth-straight win to improve to 19-7 in the season.

Lillard went 11-for-19 from the field, making five of his eight attempts from the three-point area. He also shot 12-of-13 from the free-throw area. Dame also had 11 assists, five rebounds, and three steals.

Khris returns with a bang
Winning their 13th straight home game and staying undefeated since their semifinal loss in the In-Season Tournament, the Bucks also got a solid performance from Khris Middleton, who returned from a one-game absence with 14 points.

Middleton, who sat out during Milwaukee’s 146-114 win over the Detroit Pistons on Saturday night, scored 14 of his total output in the fourth quarter, enabling the Bucks to pull away.

Brook Lopez added 18 points, while Bobby Portis Jr. had 11 for the Bucks, who moved to solo second in the Eastern Conference.

Houston’s four-game winning streak was snapped, falling to 2-9 on the road. Fred VanVleet paced the Rockets with 22 points, while Alperen Sengun added 20.

Dillon Brooks scored 18 points before getting ejected in the final 38.9 seconds for picking up two technical fouls. Jabari Smith Jr. chipped in 16 for the Rockets, who dropped to 13-10 in the season.

Antetokounmpo passed Abdul-Jabbar on the Bucks’ all-time rebounding list. He became only the fourth player to lead a franchise in points, rebounds, and assists, behind LeBron James (Cavaliers), Kevin Garnett (Timberwolves), and Michael Jordan (Bulls).

Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo once again cemented himself as one of the greatest players of the franchise.

Antetokounmpo grabbed 17 rebounds in the game against the Houston Rockets on Sunday night. With his 14th board, he passed the legendary Kareem Abdul-Jabbar for first place on the Bucks’ all-time rebound list.

Giannis currently has 7165 rebounds in his career in the regular season and is now the leader in points, rebounds, and assists in franchise history, becoming only the fourth player to do it in NBA history. Previously, this honor belonged to just LeBron James (Cavaliers), Kevin Garnett (Timberwolves), and Michael Jordan (Bulls).

Antetokounmpo finished the match with 26 points and 17 rebounds.

Despite passing Abdul-Jabbar on the Bucks’ rebounding list, Antetokounmpo is nowhere close to his total rebounding numbers. Currently, Giannis is 117th on the all-time list, together with Los Angeles Lakers center Anthony Davis, with 7165 rebounds each. Abdul-Jabbar, meanwhile, is fourth all-time with more than twice as many rebounds – 17,440.

Last week, Giannis was involved in a game ball controversy following his 64-point performance against the Indiana Pacers. This time, the Bucks saved the game ball for Antetokounmpo without any trouble.
