The Princess of Wales took Princess Charlotte, 8, and Prince Louis, 5, to the set of the U.K.’s version of Dancing with the Stars on Saturday.

The royal children even got to sit in the judges’ seats and hold up paddles with scores after a performance by some of the professional dancers on the show, which is called Strictly Come Dancing in Britain.

The story was originally reported in The Sun, which said the royals were introduced to BBC hosts Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly, while Louis put on a toy crown. The young prince also reportedly sampled the view from the balcony where the professional dancers and the celebrity contestants watch the performances.

A source told the newspaper on Sunday that Kate, 41, “took pictures of the children in the judges’ seats.”

“She seemed really relaxed and was all smiles,” the source added to the outlet. “She was polite, sweet and charming with everyone and made sure Louis didn’t get over-excited.”

Princess Kate’s office at Kensington Palace declined to comment on the family outing.

It will likely have been a dream come true for Princess Kate and Princess Charlotte, who enjoys dancing “ballet and tap,” her mom said in September.

Prince William also revealed that his daughter “loves dancing” during the Commonwealth Day reception at Marlborough House in 2018.

Princess Kate is an avid watcher of the British reality show along with her mother Carole Middleton, Prince William, 41, revealed in 2019. “Catherine is a huge fan and my mother-in-law loves it,” he told host Winkleman and head judge Shirley Ballas at an event for his homelessness charity Centrepoint.

Three years ago, Prince Harry also made a surprise appearance on the show voicing his support for his friend and former Royal Marine JJ Chalmers during a training session with dance partner Amy Dowden.

Meanwhile, Queen Camilla is also a fan of the series and is friendly with one of the show’s judges, Craig Revel Horwood, who previously told the Daily Mail that the royal, 76, is “a surprisingly good dancer.”
