A photo Halle Berry shared with more than 8.3 million followers to Instagram caught attention for all the wrong reasons.

The Academy Award-wining actress, 57, was posed in a sultry December 17 shot in which she wore a lace teddy while posing barefoot amidst enormous rocks in what looked to be the desert.

While the Cleveland native did not add a geotag to the image, she was in the Middle East last month, as she attended the Red Sea International Film Festival 2023 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

The pic, which garnered more than 148,000 likes, generated speculation from number of followers that the stunning star’s bare feet were in close proximity to a pile of feces, the source of which also conjured up debate.

One user asked, ‘What kind of s*** is that by your [feet emoji,]’ while another said, Am I the only one who sees the poop?’

Another user asked, ‘Literally nobody sees the 3 giant mounds of human s***???’ adding three poo emojis. ‘Seriously, why post that photo with the s*** in it?

Said one user: ‘Halle is one of the most beautiful people I’ve ever seen, but this is just s***.’

One user raised the possibility that the dropping didn’t come from a person, but perhaps an animal.

‘How do you know it’s human s*** though? Maybe it’s from some wild animal that lives among the rocks!’

A user suggested that the glamourous image could be salvaged with the right tools.

‘Dope Pic, crop the [poo emoji] that’s right in front of you out of this pic tho!!’

One user defended Berry’s posting of the pic, saying it wasn’t clear that the substance in question was what everyone seemed to think it was.

‘Why are people looking so hard for the negative in this beautifully calm setting?’ the user said. ‘How do you even know if that’s s***??? Anyway… Great pic Ms. Halle.’

Other fans disregarded the potential doo-doo, showering the A-list actress with compliments.

‘Love the fact that @halleberry literally does not give a s***,’ the user said, while another described her as ‘still the baddest after all these years.’

Berry had the final word as she replied to one of the commenters in the thread who asked why she had posted the image.

She replied, ‘Why not? It is what it is’ with four laughing emojis.

She later said that the location made it unlikely that the droppings were from a person: ‘Ima say it was a wild animal. A human is not out there s–tting !!!! Just saying.’
