Chargers News: Insider Writes LA-Kansas City Game Could Be Big Test For Taylor Swift
Will Taylor be in attendance in Los Angeles for Week 18?
The Los Angeles Chargers will play their final game of the 2023 season on Sunday against their division rivals, the Kansas City Chiefs. Neither the Chiefs nor the Bolts had the season many envisioned but for different reasons.
The Bolts fell flat on their face from the start of the season, and the Chiefs didn’t look as sharp for a multitude of reasons, but still managed to win the division and secure a top-three seed in the AFC playoff picture.
Although football was the Charger rivals’ primary focus, the season’s storyline was between Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and his girlfriend, Grammy Award winner Taylor Swift. Swift took the NFL by storm in 2023. We’ve seen her in attendance to many games to support her boo, but will we see her attend the final regular season game, even if Kelce doesn’t participate in it?
In his latest column, Joe Reedy of the Associated Press noted that we’ll find out how much of a football Swift is on Sunday.
“Sunday might be an opportunity to gauge how devoted Taylor Swift is as a football fan.
One of the few pressing questions going into the AFC West matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Chargers is whether the megastar entertainer decides to take in the regular-season finale at SoFi Stadium, where she performed six sold-out shows on her Eras Tour in late July and early August.
If Swift shows up, she might see something resembling a preseason game — with boyfriend Travis Kelce on the sideline.”
The storyline of Swift and Kelce isn’t as big now as it was in September/October, but Swift always attracts attention, as we’ve witnessed firsthand.
According to Marca.com, Taylor will be in Los Angeles, but she’ll be occupied, attending the Golden Globes that will be aired on CBS. As for Kelce, it’s unsure whether he will play or not, but he has a milestone to reach, as he’s 16 yards away from getting 1,000 receiving yards for the eighth season in a row.
It’ll be hard to see him missing out on the opportunity, and he may have to do it without his girlfriend in the stands.
