The Los Angeles Clippers coach wanted to support his colleague from the Lakers, whom he considers a team that will be difficult to beat when they have all their players healthy and clear rotations.

Darvin Ham y Tyronn Lue

The head basketball coaches in Los Angeles seem to have each other’s backs.

Amid the criticism directed at Los Angeles Lakers head coach Darvin Ham, Los Angeles Clippers coach Ty Lue called the criticism of Ham “definitely unfair” and assured that he and the Lakers have enough time to give him the back to the situation.

“People think about X’s and O’s, but in the NBA and being a coach, it goes beyond that,” Lue said. ”

It has a lot to do with managing different personalities, different egos. There’s a lot that goes into it.”

Lue went on to say that the Lakers will surely improve when the roster is healthier and projected that they will be a tough team to beat down the stretch of the season.

“They just need to get healthy, I think,” Lue said. “And once they’re healthy and have their rotations clear, they can be a tough team to beat and will be a tough opponent.”

These comments came before a matchup between the Clippers and Lakers, and the Clippers are off to a much better start to the season.

The Clippers have a 22-13 record and are in fourth place in the Western Conference.

Meanwhile, the Lakers have fallen to an 18-19 start and sit in 11th place in the conference. Although there is plenty of time left in the season, it is a worrying start for a team that reached the conference finals last season.

The physical problems

The presence of injuries in the team is undoubtedly an important factor in the inauspicious start. The Lakers have seen many players on the roster suffer injuries of varying degrees, including LeBron James, Anthony Davis and D’Angelo Russell. Regardless of the severity, it still affects play on the court and may explain some of the problems.

A healthy stretch could easily lead to a winning streak, but more injuries could also lead to more problems.
