NBA – After his historic card, Victor Wembanyama’s ultra-creepy statement!

Monstrous last night against the Pistons, Victor Wembanyama continues his momentum. Since moving to the pivot position, the Frenchman has practically become unplayable. And his latest statement promises some crazy fun for the rest of the season.

Great players don’t necessarily need to score to influence the game and Victor Wembanyama perfectly illustrated this maxim last night against Detroit. Clumsy in scoring with 16 points at 6/16 shooting, the pivot however compensated in other sectors of the game since he finished with a triple-double (12 rebounds and 10 assists). Enough to deliver a gallery of highlights that are varied to say the least:

After experiencing a bit of a slump a few weeks ago, the Frenchman seems completely transformed since he moved to the pivot position. His teammates don’t always do the right thing alongside him, notably Jeremy Sochan, but that doesn’t stop him from being a success individually. And according to his comments at the press conference after the match, the rest of the season promises to be even better.

Wemby’s playing time restriction soon to be over?

I asked Wemby if there was any urgency in lifting his minutes restriction, when the team seems to be finding itself and the next few games seem affordable. He responded that he felt very well physically, that the limit could be “lifted like that” (by snapping his fingers) and that he hoped to be able to talk to the medical staff about it soon.

Because yes, the craziest thing in all of this is still the fact that the big man manages to put in some Dantesque performances… even though he has practically never played more than 25 minutes per match for two weeks. As he seems completely recovered, Gregg Popovich will perhaps allow his foal to let loose a little more. And when we see his current level, there is reason to be excited for the future.

Victor Wembanyama is still limited in playing time, but that could soon be history. While he has had some great performances of late, the Spurs will perhaps see him enter a new dimension once he can play as he pleases… and it makes you want to watch it all!
