Spain star Lamine Yamal made the coldest social media post just hours before wonder goal vs France

Lamine Yamal’s sensational, record-breaking goal vs France followed a cold social media post.

Spain’s 16-year-old sensation Lamine Yamal produced the coldest social media post prior to his incredible goal in the Euro 2024 semi final against France.

France went 1-0 up in the clash at the Allianz Arena after Kylian Mbappe’s cross to the far post found the head of Randal Kolo Muani.

But then Yamal, who turns 17 on Saturday, levelled matters with an utterly stunning strike.

The Barcelona wonderkid cut in from the right flank on his wand of a left foot and unleashed an unstoppable effort past Mike Maignan and into the top corner.

It was Yamal’s first Euros goal and saw him become the youngest ever scorer in the history of the competition.

The worldie goal followed three assists and a slew of exciting displays in Germany, where Yamal risks breaking a German employment law.

Prior to the semi final, France and Juventus star Rabiot had been talking about Yamal and how he needed to do more than what he did in previous games to get past Les Bleus.

In a presser, he said: “If Lamine Yamal wants to play in the Euro final with Spain, he will have to do much more against us than he has done so far.

“We will put pressure on him so that he is not comfortable.”

Yet Yamal responded with a cryptic message on his Instagram, simply posting a graphic which read: “Move in silence, only speak when it is time to say checkmate.”

He certainly did his talking with his feet and looked more than comfortable on the pitch in a breathtaking showing.

Yamal, born in 2007 when Rihanna’s hit Umbrella was top of the charts, is well within a shout for the Player of the Tournament award.

He and his La Roja teammates have the chance to win Spain a fourth European Championship in Sunday’s final in Berlin.
