Fox Sports NFL reporter Erin Andrews had sideline reporting duties for the Week 7 Super Bowl rematch between the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers.

After the Chiefs’ 28-18 victory, Andrews spoke with Kansas City quarterback Patrick Mahomes. While Mahomes shared some insight on the big-time victory for the Chiefs, he also commented on a specific play during the game.

Andrews asked Mahomes about his only touchdown of the game, a rushing TD in which the Chiefs quarterback ran over a 49ers defender.

When Mahomes bulldozed the defender, he stared him down in the end zone, and the Chiefs’ defense on the sideline “lost their mind,” according to Andrews.

Mahomes credited the physical play to his weight, mentioning that he’s “a little heavy.”

“I wasn’t even really trying to run him over,” Mahomes said. “I was just trying to get in the end zone. I’m a little heavy. I got some weight to me and ended up getting in there.”

NFL fans commented on the response from Mahomes, with many mentioning that the Chiefs quarterback is using his “Dad bod” to his advantage.

“Dad bods for the win,” said one fan.

“Dad bod be dod boding this year,” said another fan with the laughig emoji.

“He’s awesome, ” mentioned one fan.

“Dad bod with purpose,” said one fan.

“Dad bod sen!” said another fan.

“Weight came in handy,” commented one fan.

Mahomes ended the game with a rushing touchdown and 39 yards on the ground. He certainly had success on the ground, but the Chiefs star struggled in the passing realm.

In the Week 7 victory, Mahomes recorded two interceptions and only completed 16 pass attempts.

He’ll have a chance to bounce back when the Chiefs take on the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 8. Despite Mahomes’s struggles, Kansas City advanced to 6-0, the only undefeated team in the NFL.
