On July 10, 2018, he penned a long caption for the post where he mentioned that Hailey is the love of his life and how well they complement each other. Among other things, Justin also mentioned that they got engaged on the ‘seventh day of the seventh month, the number seven is the number of spiritual perfections’.

While Justin Bieber was busy celebrating his new fiancee, Hailey Baldwin, there were reports which stated that his ex, Selena Gomez remained unbothered by this new announcement. It was reported that she partied with her friends in New York City. A source revealed to E! News:
“Selena was surprised an engagement happened this quickly but not surprised Justin would do something like this knowing who he is. At the end of the day though she doesn’t really care. She had tried again to make it work that last time and it didn’t work out.”
